Greetings and Nailutations,
It has been an amazing Digit-al Dozen Week using the prompt Throwback. I had my tribute to Sally, Bumble, Clown and yesterday a Butterfly. Today we are going old school, as in college days, back in the late 90's-early 2000's (yes I'm dating myself).
Let's get to the details.
This photo was taken at my grandmother's house, I lived with her for 2 years in college - 30 minute bus ride was closer than a 90 minutes bus ride to college and was cheaper than staying near the University. And do I really need to explain home cooked meals? :) I saw this costume and wanted to use it for nail art, but it's all red, so what was I going to do?
Products used:
Polish My Life - Little Red Dress
Butter London - Nail Foundation
Glisten and Glow - Top Coat
Calm Your Tips - Nail Vinyls
Clear Jelly Stamper - Big Bling Stamper (press sample)
LINA Nail Art Supplies - License to Be Sexy 01 Plate, which I purchased from What's Up Nails in store
Cuticula - Scented Nail Tape
I started with a base of Nail Foundation. For me, it is the perfect nude that takes my visible nail line down a few notches. I then topped it with top coat. After that dried, I used Fire vinyls and Little Red Dress to create flames at the tips of my nails to mimic the ends of my dress. Once that dried, I stamped with Little Red Dress and License To Be Sexy 01 Plate which represent my red fishnets - ooh la la! Everything is topped with top coat.
This look was super easy to do and I love how it turned out! I have had a blast with these manis all week and I hope you have enjoyed seeing them too! Be sure to check out the other Throwbacks below!
Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails
