Green Glitter Indie Polish New Releases Splash and Sugar High Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have two new releases from GG Indie Polish (GG = Green Glitter) to share.  GG Indie Polish ships world wide and has been adding new colors to their store over the past month or two.   They also do custom polishes.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Sugar High, a soft delicate white glitter crelly-jelly.  Sugar high contains light pink hearts, aqua large circles and small light pink, aqua circles and small grey hexes.  The crelly itself contains a shimmer in the light as well.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat as well as pink bow!

The second polish is called Splash.  Splash is a blue-green polish with a nice shimmer in the right light.  Formula was easy to work with and applied nice.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com in the scent of Summer Melon

Loves:  Formula!  I love how creamy the formula was on each of the polishes with zero glitter fishing.  Both these polishes are very sweet and pretty.  All GG Indie Polish products are 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the nasties that can be found in polish.

Wishes:  Loved both of these polishes - wouldn't change a thing!

Virtuous Polish Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

Today I will be sharing a brand new indie!  If you love matte finishes, you will ADORE these polishes.  Most of the colors have a delicately soft matte finish.  This initial collection contains 9 polishes (Seven Virtues Collection + Purity white + Wrath Of God black) and a top coat.  I will be sharing the 4 I received (and a top coat).

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Purity, a white crelly.  Purity was the only polish with a non-matte finish.  It went on perfect and easy - better than any other white crelly I have that is mainstream.  Photos show 2 coats with Virtuous Top Coat.

Next is Humility, a deep purple matte finish crelly.  As soon as others started posting photos of this polish on social media, Virtuous Polish had to do a pre-order!  This polish blew me away!  Formula dries very fast, so if you are slow to apply polish (like me), it may take a little bit to figure out the best way to get a uniform look.  It took me about 3 times to get a good even coverage and figure out what works for me.  Photos show 2 coats with no top coat.

Patience is next, a hot pink matte crelly.  I've never seen a matte neon and this one was so bright and pigmented!  Patience has similar formula to that of Humility.  Photos show 2 coats with no top coat (1st photo) and with Virtuous Top Coat (2nd photo).

Kindness is a teal crelly with matte finish.  Kindness has the same formula as the previous two matte colors.  This is my second favorite. Photos show 2 coats with no top coat.

I also received a bottle of top coat, which dried quickly and gave the highly matte polishes a nice shine.  Make sure you are following my instagram account (@beginnails) to see all the nail art I did with these colors!

Loves:  Matte finish....I didn't know if I would like it, but I ended up LOVING it.  Another thing I loved is the customer service.  My version of Patience had some formula issues and the team at Virtuous took the feedback from me and a few others (about Kindness) and realized it was a mixing timing issue and sent me a replacement Patience and Kindness as well!  They were quick to fix the issue and also keep all of us bloggers/swatchers up to date.  Communication was GREAT!  I also love that Virtuous lacquers are 5-free so they don't contain any of the 5 nasties that can be found in polish.  All colors were highly pigmented and bright.

Wishes:  I wish I had received a bottle of Temperance!  Guess what is going on my lemming list now!  :)

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 46 and 47

Greetings and Nailutations!

Last week, I was very low on manis that hadn't already been featured in my blog, so I just decided to skip it!  So this week you get a special treat in seeing only fun manis over the last 2 weeks.

On a side note - my "Sunday Six" may be retiring.  I will be going through the blog comments from my giveaway once it's done at the end of October and may be replacing Sunday Six with something else (like mainstream reviews, tutorials or nail art).

Let's get to some manis!

First up is a mani using Candied Apple Polish Cozy Camper, along with Jenna Hipp's I Surf With Boys.  I used Nail Vinyls to create the zig-zags and a dotting stylus for the dots.  I love playing off the glitter colors in a mani.

This next mani was a bestie twin nails that I did with my nail friend Jessica (@b_jessica_3 on instagram).  I suggested leopard trim on candy corn colors and Jessica recommended doing the entire nail (she edits my insane ideas).  I used a toothpick for the leopard pattern.

Next up is Howling Wolf from CDB Lacquer over stamping.  I love using a sheer holo over stamping.  I used Moyou London Bridal Plate 06 and topped it with Kitty Polish Ocean Mist scented top coat.

Next is a mani that was inspired by an outfit in a magazine.  I used Jenna Hipp, Jenna And The Giant Peach and Gem Glam Wax Top Coat.  I used Nail Vinyls from @teismom and also Kitty Polish.

Next mani is a fun stamping mani using Trendsetter from Liquid Kandi and Jenna Hipp's I Cast A Spell On Blue for stamping.  I used Moyou London Bridal Plate 06 and topped with Kitty Polish top coat.

And the last mani is Polishaus Bewitched with 2 nails of Cult Nails Hypnotize me over black.  In this mani I used HK Girl Top Coat.

That's the last two weeks of manis!

Born Pretty Store Review: Decals, A Pen and Metallic 3D Art Pieces

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have the 2nd half of my Born Pretty Store goodies!  My previous posts are located here and here.  Remember to use code: DGJ61 for 10% off any purchase from Born Pretty Store.  All orders are always shipped free, but expect on average 2 1/2 weeks shipping time.

The first item is a Drawing Paint Nail Pen (item: 5268) in the color yellow.  The yellow was a lot more fluorescent than I expected, so I had a limited number of colors to use under it.  It applied easily and to really make the color pop, used 2 coats over white along with black stripes and a shiny top coat.

The next product is White Daisy Nail Art Water Decals (item: 11341).  These are full sheets of decal, so they require some planning ahead.  I decided to paint black on my nails and then try to cut out patterns the size of the nails and then created a ruffian look with black and gold topped with shiny top coat.

The last items are Metal Art 3D Nail Decorations (item: 7588) that are gold hearts.  I decided to create butterflies with the hearts and place it over red polish from Drip Drop Nail Pain called Autumn Beauty.

Shiny Top Coat: Seche Vite and Dream Polish's Gem Glam Top Coat

Loves:  Love the gold hearts, they are easy to use and small.  I liked the decals and trying to think of interesting ways to use them.  I also really love that Born Pretty products are affordable.

Wishes:  I wish I had a darker color pen, as yellow is quite bright and more of a sheer tint.  It still worked, but made my options for undies limited.

Drip Drop Nail Paint Fall New Releases Part 2 Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

Today I have second half of the new fall releases from Drip Drop Nail Paint.  The first 4 were reviewed yesterday in Part 1.  Like the previous four, these 4 for today have impeccable formula and have fun, exciting names and color combinations.

Now let's get to some swatches.

First up is Poison Venom, a deep purple glitter jelly.  Poison Venom contains gold flake glitters and shimmer using purple and teal iridescent glitter.  Easy to apply with the great formula and photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat in filtered and simulated sunlight.

Next is Desert Bloom, which makes me think of where I live (in more way than one) since I live in the desert.  Desert Bloom is a maize yellow glitter crelly containing red/orange hexes and circles in a few sizes.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Prey For Me is a magenta crelly with silver holo micro glitter.  This polish is like the pinky version of A'Hoye Matey (the royal blue crelly with holo micro glitter).  This is my favorite of this set of fall polishes.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last new release is Anti-Venom, which is a gold holographic glitter topper.  Anti-Venom contains small, medium hexes and circles as well as squares.  Photos show 2 coats dabbed on over Poison Venom and topped with a shiny top coat.

Top Coat:  Gem Glam Top Coat from My Dream Polish

Loves:  Obviously formula - Drip Drop Nail Paint is notorious for awesome formula.  Cremes, glitter crellies, glitter jellies and glitter toppers all go on smoothly.  All Drip Drop Nail Paint polishes are also 3-free so it does not contain 3 of the nasties that polish can contain.  If you want to try out her polish you can also order a prototype bag for $15 and you get 3 polishes.

Wishes: I really like her cremes with micro glitter (A'Hoye Matey and Prey For Me), I'd love to see more of those in additional colors be released.

Drip Drop Nail Paint Fall New Releases Part 1 Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

Today I have a the first half of some new fall releases from Drip Drop Nail Paint.  I have made no secret that I am a Drip Dropper...a Drip Drop fanatic.  Great formula that goes on with ease, fun names and colors and the customer service is outstanding.  Who doesn't love a personal note on every order?  Heck, sometimes she even draws cute little drawings.

Now let's get to some swatches.

First up is A'Hoye Matey, which is the cousin to A'Hoye Amy (slight formula change due to discontinued materials).  It is a royal blue crelly with silver holographic micro glitter that sparkles in the simulated sunlight.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat and a ship's wheel charm from Hex Nail Jewelry.

Next is Closed At Dusk, which is a deep grey crelly that has a hidden surprise when exposed to simulated sunlight.  A shimmer of gold, pink and purples can be seen in just the right light.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Miss Frizzle is next, which is a green glitter crelly.  Miss Frizzle contains a kitchen sink assortment of glitters from hexes, circles and shards in an array of colors and sizes.  It is like a party on your nails!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last one I have to share with you today is The Lizard Whisperer.  This polish goes on very dark (I have it placed over a black) and in the simulated sunlight, it color shifts from purple to teal.  This is my favorite of the 4 here due not only to the fact it hides fun color shifting abilities, but the name makes me smile.  Photos show 2 coats over a black undie with shiny top coat.

Top Coat:  Gem Glam Top Coat from My Dream Polish

Loves:  Obviously formula - Drip Drop Nail Paint is notorious for awesome formula.  Cremes, glitter crellies, glitter jellies and glitter toppers all go on smoothly.  All Drip Drop Nail Paint is also 3-free so it does not contain 3 of the nasties that polish can contain.  I also love that she incorporates conversations with her friends into some of the names of the polishes.

Wishes: I wish I could buy stock in Drip Drop Nail Paint.  :)

Pretty Pots Polish Wizard of Oz Partial Collection Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have the remaining beauties from Pretty Pots Polish, an indie brand based out of Australia.  This post will cover three of the four from the Wizard of Oz Collection.  Please get your sunglasses out because this collections sparkles bright!  The four polishes are jam packed with glitter!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is The Good Witch, a lovely purple glitter bomb in a sheer purple jelly base.  The Good Witch contains small purple holographic glitters that really sparkle in the sun (or simulated sunlight).  Photos show 3 thin coats for total opacity and a shiny top coat in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd and 3rd photos).

Next is Ruby Slippers, which is a magenta glitter bomb.  Ruby Slippers contains small bright magenta holographic glitter in a light sheer magenta base.  Photos show 3 thin coats for total opacity with shiny top coat in filtered light (1st photo) and simulated sunlight (2nd and 3rd photos).

Yellow Brick Road is the last polish I have to share.  As you may have guessed, it is filled with golden yellow holo glitter.  Yellow Brick Road contains gold holo micro glitter, as well as hexes and squares in a few sizes.  Photos show 3 thin coats for total opacity topped with a shiny top coat.

The last of the collection (which I don't have to share), is Dorothy and is a royal blue glitter bomb similar to Ruby Slippers and The Good Witch.

Shiny top coat:  Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com

Loves: Easy to work with formula - glitter bombs can sometimes be a pain, but these were perfect.  I have now tried a chrome, glitter jelly and glitter bombs and she has great formula on all three of those finishes!  Another thing I love about Pretty Pots Polish is that it is 3-free, so it doesn't contain any of the nasty chemicals that is sometimes found in polish.  My favorites of these bunch are a tie between The Good Witch (because it's purple) and Yellow Brick Road (because of the many shapes).

Wishes:  I wish Australia was closer!  :)  I am really impressed and loved the polishes I was sent!
