October Mani Of The Month Box Swatch and Review

Today I have the October Mani Of The Month box which features products from Heather's Hues, Dream Polish and Nails Redesigned.  October's box had the theme of Monster Mash and also had a guest contributor, Proper Polish.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini polish and assorted extra glitter all from Heather's Hues, a base coat, top coat in mini size and a nail care item from Dream Polish and an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned.

This box came with black witch hats and heart bat decals, black bat stencils and decals, red drip vinyls and black rhinestone crystals all from Nails Redesigned, and Gem Stick base coat, Gem Glam top coat and Gem Glam Cuticle Balm in the scent of Zombie Food from Dream Polish.  The special guest contributor was Proper Polish with a full size polish.

10x10 Nail Lacquer No Use Crying Over Spilled Coffee Fall Collection Swatch and Review

Today I will be sharing the fall collection from 10x10 Nail Lacquer called No Use Crying Over Spilled Coffee.  The collection name is perfect for these polishes as they have slight "imperfections", which make them different and original.  They will be sold on the 10x10 Nail Lacquer site for $4.50.

Joha's Love Nail Polish Spring 2015 Collection Swatch and Review Part 2

Today I am sharing the second half of the 2015 Spring Collection from Joha's Love Nail Polish.  Joha's Love Nail Polish is created by Johanna (of Instagram account @nailsbyjoha).  Her Spring Collection contains creme pastels that are perfect for spring, a dainty glitter topper and a glitter crelly.  Joha's Loves Nail Polish is always 5-free, so it does not contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in some nail polish.  Two new products that have been added to her shop are organic and botanical cuticle oil that smells amazing and a fast drying 3-free top coat.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Dreaming In Peach, a beautiful orange peach creme.  I love this color because I don't have a peach in my collection and this is perfect for nail art and an undie to a fun glitter topper!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Lilac Meadows, a calming lavender.  This color is gorgeous, definitely perfect for using in some nail art!  Lilac Meadows applied easily with the smooth formula and photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish for today I will share is Pastel Sprinkles.  Pastel Sprinkles contains yellow, pink, lavender and blue pastel glitters in hexes and squares as well as some iridescent micro glitter.  It is shown here 1 coat dabbed over a gradient of Lilac Meadows and Jenna Hipp's I Cast A Spell On Blue all topped with shiny top coat.

Loves:  Joha's formula speaks volumes, especially when it self levels on your nail!  These soft muted pastels are perfect for nail art and undies for glitter toppers.  Dreaming in Peach is my favorite of the second half of the collection because it is something I don't have.

10x10 Nail Lacquer Christmas Candy Holiday 2014 Collection Swatch and Review

Today I have a new indie (and new to me) to review.  The line is called 10&10 Nail Lacquer and today I'll be sharing the 4 Holiday Lacquers.  10&10 Nail Lacquer is 5-free so none of them contain the 5 nasties that can be found in polish.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Wintermint, a wintry glitter crelly.  Wintermint is a white crelly that contains blue micro glitter and white hex glitter.  It does look like a light blue crelly, but I assure you, I actually swatched it on white paper and the only thing I saw was glitter!  If you love texture, this polish provides that finish and if you don't, slap a top coat on it and BOOM, perfect!  I did see a photo on instagram saying there were occasional snowflakes, but I did not spot any in my bottle.  Since my nails are super teeny I didn't mind not finding any snowflakes.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next up is a glitter topper called Sugar Plum Fairy Floss.  Sugar Plum Fairy Floss contains lavender hexes in a few sizes, silver micro glitter and lavendar-blue iridescent glitter.  This is such a fun and pretty polish best shown over a dark color to make the iridescent glitter pop.  Photos show 2 coats dabbed on over Drip Drop Nail Paint's Yoga Pants with shiny top coat.

Cinnamon Candy Apple is another glitter topper that is part of 10&10 Nail Lacquer's Holiday Collection.  Cinnamon Candy Apple contains red holographic hexes in a few sizes including micro and also large gold holographic hexes.  The gold glitter did require a little glitter fishing.  Photos show 2 coats dabbed on over Jenna Hipp's Look Hot Feel Cool topped with a shiny top coat.

The last polish is a glitter topper called Gumdrop Buttons.  Gumdrop Buttons contains teal, orange, gold, purple and blue iridescent glitters.  These types of glitter toppers look amazing over dark colors so I have it shown here dabbed over Jenna Hipp's I Cast A Spell On Blue topped with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd photo).

Loves: My favorite of the 4 was difficult to decided because I really loved all 3 glitter toppers.  If I was forced with acetone hovering above my freshly painted nails to select a favorite, I would have to go with Gumdrop Buttons.  Formula was easy to work with on all four polishes as well.  And the fact that their polishes are 5-free, so they don't contain any of the nasties that can be found in polish is a love as well with this brand.

Wishes:  My first impression of 10 &10 Nail Lacquer is exceeding my expectations of a new indie, with fun color combinations and both glitter toppers and glitter crellies (there are some other finishes in her full collection as well which will have a separate blog review).  I'm excited to see 10&10 Nail Lacquer grow!
