Today I'm sharing part 1 of a stamping plate review! I was sent a stamping plate from MoYou Nails and their Clear Stamper. This is my first experience with the brand and I'm going to share my first impressions and then my first set of manis!
Let's get to the review!
First impressions of Vintage 4 Stamping Plate: I was really surprised at how many images were on this plate! Most of the plates I own in this size only have 10 or 12 max. On this plate there are 18...yes 18 images! I love the mix of whimsical scrolls, floral patterns and animal print.
First impressions of the Clear Stamper: Zero prep was needed and I stamped and picked up an image. I was so excited as you know many stampers need a little TLC prior to using.
Now for the first half of the manis!
I loved this delicate foliage over a fun colorful crelly.
This design reminded me of a pattern I would see on furniture in a fancy room. I loved how delicate it looked.
Got strips? Animal prints are always fun! Adding some pink and a bow to the design makes it all the more wild.
This is my favorite floral design. I paired it with a light pink glitter jelly and a bow. I struggled with getting this image to pick up with the stamper and actually none of my clear stampers would work, so I ended up having to go to a sticky stamper.
How about holo and a reptile pattern? (Or is it a snake pattern?)
This is another look I loved! Pink, black and white are always a winning combo. This is one of the few images that I struggled picking up the image with the MoYou Nails Clear Stamper and had to utilize another stamper.
This delicate floral look was screaming at me to mattify it, so of course I listened.
I was so thrilled to see an image of water marbling on the plate. For this image/polish pairing I could not get a clear pick up with the MoYou Nails Clear Stamper and used a different stamper.
I couldn't figure out what to do with this image so I went with a jelly and glitter topper. I was surprised at how much I liked it.
Other products used:
Ribbits Stickits - Un-frog-gettable Cuticle Cover
Glisten and Glow - Top Coat
Heather's Hues - Heart of the Matter
Loves: I love how many images are available on the plate. I will always love any stamper that comes straight to me with zero priming or prep needed. Being able to use it right away is ideal as a consumer. Even though not every image worked for me on the stamper, I'm pleased that 6 of the 9 did (usually I always have a few images that don't cooperate with clear stampers).
Wishes: Overall my first use of MoYou Nails products was a positive experience. I do have 2 things for wishes though. For the plate, the sizes worked great for me, but for anyone with large canvases they may be too small. And for the stamper, as I stamped the head would be pushed down farther and farther, I wish it sat further up in the barrel.

They are SO pretty. I wish I had more patience (and room in my house) to play with stamping. I know it's a popular thing to look at online!
ReplyDeleteGreat review! I love the pink animal print.
ReplyDeleteIt always amazes me what can be done with stamping. You've done a remarkable job especially on that first one. I'd love to wear the purple and silver one myself.
