Today I'm sharing 3 wax melts I've recently melted from Ginger Fizz Boutique. She sent me her Island Vibes Collection and I've been patiently waiting for them to cure the last few weeks so I could melt them at their best!
Let's get to the melty details!
I will start with my husbands favorite of the three, Key West Mandarin Orange. I love a good citrus scent! It has a yellow base with a green topper and has a sprinkle of glitter on top.
Cold Sniff: Citrus fruit with a slight note of sweetness
Hot Sniff: Strong citrus with a soft sweetness. My husband kept saying it smelled like lemon pound cake - obviously he is confused by his citrus!
Throw: 8/10 - the main living area was covered in a lovely citrus scent
Size: 2 oz shot, used 1/4 of it
Equipment: 24W ceramic wide dish hot plate
Availability: In stock
Cost: $2
Purchase Again/Melt Again: I most definitely will melt again - although my mom just arrived for a month in my state and she tried stealing some of my melts! LOL, she may take this one from me.
The next wax I melted was Pineapple Fizzy Soda. I was so excited to get a pineapple scent. I love the scent of fresh pineapple. The wax has a base of pink topped with a beautiful golden yellow.
Cold Sniff: Sharp yet delicious tart pineapple!
Hot Sniff: I'm still learning what "fizzy" smells like, but I definitely picked up pineapple through the house. It is described as island pineapple and fizzy soda.
Throw: 9/10 - most of the entire house was filled with yummy pineapple
Size: 2 oz scent shot, used 1/4 of it
Equipment: 24W ceramic wide dish hot plate
Availability: In stock
Cost: $2
Purchase Again/Melt Again: Yes! Unless my mom steals it when she comes over this weekend.
The last for this post is Salt, Limes and Sunshine! What do you think of when you think of salt, with a lime and sunshine? Why margaritas of course! The wax is a light green with iridescent sprinkling of glitter (the salt!).
Cold Sniff: a nice cool margarita, saltiness and lime!
Hot Sniff: lime with just a hint of salt
Throw: 2/10 - this scent didn't travel as far as the other two above and stayed just around the melter. It's born on date was 4/5/18 so it had at least 10 weeks of cure time, so I'm not sure why it was so shy?
Size: 2 oz shot, used 1/4 of it
Equipment: 24W ceramic wide dish hot plate
Availability: In stock
Cost: $2
Purchase Again/Melt Again: I may use it as a mix with some other sweet scents to balance it out.

I never realized that the melts had to cure. I'm learning so much about melts.
ReplyDeleteI wonder why makers don't make the waxes smaller because it seems all wax reviewers cut chunks off. Is that how you use it on a regular day also, cut off a chunk? Or is it only for review purposes?
ReplyDeleteYou can get them in clamshell (where you can use a cube), these are scent shots, allows for 3-4 uses. Many use single use shapes as well, loaves and larger fun sizes where you have to cut them too. Scent shots are easiest for trying out single scents.
DeleteI would enjoy the pineapple fragrance for sure
ReplyDeleteThese all sound so perfect for Summer!
ReplyDeleteI've been looking for some good summer scents and these all sound so perfect! That's a shame the Salt, Limes, & Sunshine didn't have a stronger scent because it sounds like it would be yummy.
ReplyDeleteThe scents sound lovely, although I wonder why they weren’t sent pre-cured. I would hate to buy something and then wait to use it for two months.
ReplyDeleteI would love Pineapple Fizzy soda.
ReplyDeleteI would love all those scents!
ReplyDeleteI need some pineapple in my life!
ReplyDeleteI can imagine how good Pineapple Fizzy Soda would be! They all sound yummy, but that would likely be my favorite of the three.
ReplyDeleteAll three of these sound amazing! I'd probably have to pick up Salt, Limes, and Sunshine because my husband loves margaritas!
ReplyDeleteI'd be all over that pineapple one!
ReplyDeleteFizzy is such a hard smell to describe. Pineapple sounds bomb!!
ReplyDeleteThese look very nice for summer! I would probably try the first one, because I like zingy citrusy scents like that.
ReplyDeleteMy husband and I love citrus scents! I use them year round lol. I'm really interested in the salt line and sunshine (although all 3 of them sound great)!
