KBShimmer Love At Frost Sight Part 1

  Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press sample*

Winter collection are my favorites!  Sparkles, festive colors, and it means it is finally cooling down here in the desert!  KBShimmer's winter collection, Love At Frost Sight, contains all of that (and I feel the coolness in the air too).  Love At Frost Sight contains 10 polishes in assorted finishes.  AND that's not all, she added 4 new multi-chromes to the collection that I will cover in a blog post next week!

Let's get to the details!

Name: Love At Frost Sight
Price: $10 each (with multi-chromes $11/each covered in my next post)

First up is Baking Spirits Bright, which is essentially Christmas in a polish.  Inspired by holiday treats, it is a white crelly base with green and red glitters.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy finish.

And here is Baking Spirits Bright with matte finish.

Next is Bearly Awake, inspired by Daylights Savings.  Being in Arizona, this isn't an activity that I have to worry about (interesting fact about Arizona - we don't change our clocks).  Bearly Awake is a really sensitive thermal polish that is a black cherry when cold and a pink leaning ruby when warm.  It has color shifting flakies in shades of pink, orange and indigo.  When I say this is a very sensitive thermal - I mean it, I needed no warmth nor ice/cold to take these photos.  Photos show 2 coats (but if you are in a hurry 1 coat did completely cover any visible nail line for me) with glossy top coat.

And here is Bearly Awake with a matte top coat.

One of my favorites in the collection is Celebrate Good Shine, inspired by things that sparkle during this time of year (shoes, make up, ornaments, noisemakers on New Year's).  Celebrate Good Shine is a pale champagne-colored holographic polish.  It is versatile and can be used as a glitter topper (1 coat) or on it's own as seen below in 3 thin coats with glossy finish.

How's It Growing is the next polish in the collection and it is inspired by indoor plants that boost your mood during the winter blues.  How's It Growing is an emerald green jelly base accented by holographic micro flakies.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy finish.

And of course since flakies are present, here is How's It Growing with matte finish.

To compliment How's It Growing, KBShimmer added it's red partner - Knit Happens.  It is inspired by knitting family members, the scarf around Frosty's neck, and that favorite sweater you love wearing during the winter.  Knit Happens is a red jelly polish with color-shifting flakes of crimson, orange, and gold and micro holograaphic flakies.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

Here is Knit Happens with matte top coat.

Next is the name sake of the collection - Love At Frost Sight.  It is inspired by the sun bouncing off the winter frost.  It is described as a sparkling silver magnetic polish.  It is versatile in that it can be used on it's own or over another color.  Photos show 2 coats on it's own (ring and pinky fingers), and 1 coat over the navy creme Stream On, Stream Away (pointer and middle fingers).

Shamash Hit, inspired by the celebration of Hanukkah and the flickering candles and long-ago burning oil.  Shamash Hit is a pale golden base with hues of peach, orange, and copper with linear holographic sparkle.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy top coat.  For longer nail lengths, 3 coats may be needed for total opacity.

Another favorite of mine in the collection is Sip Back and Relax, inspired by relaxing with a glass (or bottle) of wine after a long day's work.  Obviously I'm going to love anything related to wine, but also because it is HOLO!!!  Sip Back and Relax is a deep red, wine-colored linear holographic polish.  This is a one-coater if you are in a hurry, but photos show 2 with glossy finish.

Sol Amazing is the fun topper of the collection inspired by rainbows created by both rain and sunlight.  The flakes shift red, orange, gold, green and aqua depending on the angles and lighting.  It is best worn over a dark shade to make the colors pop.  Photos show 2 coats alone over a nude shade base coat (on pinky and ring fingers) and 1 coat over navy creme Stream On, Stream Away (on pointer and middle fingers) all topped with a glossy top coat.

The last polish of the collection is  very opaque navy creme called Stream On, Stream Away.  It is inspired by marathon watching of your favorite shows.  The formula is phenomenal and this is truly a one-coater, as shown below with a glossy finish.

Loves:  Those punny names!  I mean, they crack me up!  My favorites of the collection are Sip Back and Relax because wine + holo = happy me, and Celebrate Good Shine - that sparkle makes me smile!

Wishes: I wouldn't change anything with this collection, I just wish everyone is able to take advantage of the Black Friday opening sale for the collection with 15% off!  Check out her site for more info!
