Digit-al Dozen: Story Genres - Moneyball

Greetings and Nailutations,

It's a Digit-al Dozen week and this week our theme is Story Genres.  I decided to interpret this as books I have in my library that I've read.  So today we are starting with the genre of non-fiction nerdy sports statistics with hunky male leads.  Is that a genre?  Well it is for me.  If the book sounds familiar - it's because it was also a movie staring Brad Pitt.

Let's get to the details.
Products used:
Bluebird Lacquer - Molecular Brology, Nothing Else Matters Top Coat (press samples)
Girly Bits Cosmetics - Golden Ticket
Clear Jelly Stamper - Big Bling Stamper (press sample)
Ever After Polish - Black Magic (press sample)
Glisten and Glow - Ridge Relief Base Coat
Easy Peel Latex Barrier
It Girl Nail Art - IG110 (press sample)
Lantern and Wren: Messy Mansion - Crystal 02 (press sample - affiliate link with 10% off)

I started with white on the pointer and pinky and Molecular Brology on the middle and ring finger.  The pointer got designed into a baseball using a striper and a narrow detail brush.  The pinky was stamped with IG110 and Black Magic.  I had just received the Crystal 02 plate recently and had to open it up to use it for the A's logo (it's not exactly the logo, but I tried).  Everything is topped with Nothing Else Matters Top Coat.

Moneyball is written by Michael Lewis and it's about Billy Beane, the Oakland A's General Manager.    His plan was to change the way the game worked - how could he compete agains the teams with more funds to hire great players?  Why the answer is using numbers and wisdom.  I will say the book was better than the movie...even if Brad Pitt was in it.  I did love this photo of Billy Beane/Brad Pitt staring at my nails - haha.

Be sure to check out the other manis below from the Digit-al Dozen!  And let me know below what team you root for?  I'm a Seattle Mariner's fan and secondly an Arizona Diamondback's fan.

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails
