Digit-al Dozen: Pottery French Tips

Greetings and Nailutation,

It is Day 3 of the Digit-al Dozen Redoes Art and I decided to look at a different form of art - pottery! One of my sisters is what I would call an artist.  My folks' house is still adorned with some of her masterpieces - a leopard batik, a wooden unit that is carefully painted with apples (my mom collects apple things - it's a teacher thing!) and this ornate pottery piece.  I decided to look into pottery and found a piece that reminded me of china plates.

Products used:
Drip Drop Nail Paint - Tighty Whities
Simple Spoiled - Nail Art Pen
Heather's Hues - Top That Top Coat, Heart of the Matter

I love the simple look of this and definitely want to try it with other colors.

Here it is with matte top coat.

Do you have any pottery in your home?  We only have some outside for plants, but I want to work some pieces into the inside of the house - I just have to make sure no kitties decide it's a new toy!  :)

Check out the other works of art from Digit-al Dozen members!

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails

  1. This totally has a delicate China feel, I love it!!!!!

  2. I tried to guess what your nails were before reading and I totally saw pottery! It's simple but evokes it so well!

  3. Oh my gosh - yes, before I even started to read I thought these reminded me of my grandma's old pottery or tea sets. It's such a great mani design.

  4. Beautiful mani! My kids are young and incompatible with pottery!

  5. This looks great! I thought pottery right away :)

  6. This looks exactly like the vintage pottery at my parents house!

  7. OMG this is too cute and perfect! I have to recreate this some time soon, it's so beautiful!

  8. This is absolutely perfect! You are kicking butt this DD week!

  9. I love this! I have lots of blue and white china like this, and I've always wanted to see it in mani form.

  10. My grandma had a china set that was white and had the blue design around the outer edge. Love your manicure!

  11. These look so classy! I love it!

  12. Love this idea! The blue and white combo looks really nice. Lemon and blue would look pretty too i think
