It's another installment of 3 empties, where I review 3 products I have used up and express my opinion on how well they worked, how they smelled, their packaging and if I'd make a repeat purchase.
Now let's get to the empties!
The first item is L'Occitane Body Milk. Let me preface this by saying that I haven't met a L'Occitane product that I haven't loved...until I met this Body Milk. Wait, let me correct that - I didn't mind it, but my husband did (more on this in a bit).
Scent: It was heavily rose scented. Yes, so heavy it required italics, bold AND underline. I started using this before bed since the scent was pretty strong and at the request of my husband I was forced to retire it before he decided to move out because as he stated "you smell like an 89 year old lady!"
Feel: It almost feels like the fragrance may overtake some of the moisturizing properties.

Packaging: Flip cap plastic container.
Buy Again: Nope, newp, no, unless I plan on living alone because my husband said he would literally move out if I used it.
The next product is Secret Clear Gel Deodorant. For this review, let me tell you some background. I told my husband I needed deodorant and he picked this up for me (along with 3 other brands - he's so sweet in trying t make sure that he gets a variety). I usually stay clear of gels or liquid based products for my arm pits as it never fails - I break out in a rash or my skin peels and itches. He picked up 3 different brands and I decided to give it a try, welp - nothing has changed, I still can't use gels.

Scent: love love love love looooove the scent of this product. It's like a sweet floral fruit - so hard to describe. Which is the one reason I tried it even though I knew that gels weren't my cup of tea.
Feel: After a few uses, I started to develop itchy arm pits and when I lifted my arms - red skin! NOOO! I really wanted to love this because it smelled so good too.

Packaging: No surprise, deodorant packaging.
Buy Again: As much as I love the scent, I love having non-itchy arm pits more. :)
The last product I won in a giveaway from Love for Lacquer blog! I won a ton of hair products! I've been working on the shampoo for the last few months and finally used it up!

Scent: Clean, refreshing scent.
Feel: I used this when my hair was at its longest. It gave me natural waves and easier to manage hair.

Packaging: Flip top cap in a narrow plastic container. The only drawback to the shape is that it doesn't like to stay upside down if I'm trying to get every available amount of product out. It ended up falling down from the shelf and broke the cap.
Buy Again: Yes, I was really impressed with Suave. I had been awhile since I've used the brand.
Have you tried any of these products? Did you have different experiences with them? Do you put date of purchase on your products?
Happy Emptying,

I've not tried any of these products, but I can say without doubt the body milk isn't for me. I don't care for the smell of roses so that wouldn't work for me.
ReplyDeleteI like the smell of roses from the actual flower - which to me smells like jelly. For some reason roses that are in lotions/perfumes is so powdery and blech
DeleteYou know I love empties posts! Such a bummer that the deodorant did weird things to your pits! The scent smells nice though :)
ReplyDeleteI think I have sensitive pits. Damn my pits!
DeleteGel deodorant never works for me, like it never dries and my pits just feel slippery all day.
ReplyDeleteyes that too! It's like it's wet constantly and my pits get all rashy.
DeleteI would be all over the old lady roses, lol! I agree on the gel deodorant - my skin peels badly when I use it, probably due to the alcohol.
ReplyDeleteIs that what is causes it? Good to know. I need to be more aware of ingredients.
Deletehaha, omg, I love your reason for not repurchasing the deodorant. Love it :-P
ReplyDelete:) Hee hee
DeleteMy aunt got me one of the secret clear gels last year and I absolutely loved it!
ReplyDeleteJealous that it works with your body. I think my body is just broken. :)
DeleteThat sucks about the deodorant! That's one of the only ones I've found that I can use that doesn't give me itchy arm pits, haha!
ReplyDeleteLOL! It's like our pits are ying/yang!
