Digit-al Dozen: Black Leopard Matte Print

Greetings and Nailutations,

Digit-al Dozen day 2 is animal print again - don't worry, there are only 2.  One thing I really wanted to try again was the play on matte vs shiny stamping.  I loved the look of stamping with matte top coat and I wanted to try the opposite (stamping with a shiny polish over mattified look).


Now let's get to the details.

Products used:
Drip Drop Nail Paint: Yoga Pants
Heather's Hues: Heart of the Matter
It Girl Nail Art: IG112 Plate (press sample)
Clear Jelly Stamper: stamper, clean up brush (press sample)





I started with 1 coat of Yoga Pants from Drip Drop Nail Paint (gotta love 1 coater cremes!).  I topped it with Heart of the Matter from Heather's Hues.  After I let that dry I used IG112 Plate from It Girl Nail Art and Drip Drop Nail Paint Yoga Pants along with my Clear Jelly Stamper to create the design playing with finish.


I really love this look and definitely plan on repeating this look in the future with other colors.  What are your thoughts on mixing finishes?

    I've never done this since matte never seems to last on me but I love the look.
