A New Beginning - Chinese New Year

Greetings and Nailutations!

In the Nail Challenge Collaboration group our theme for this month is "A New Beginning" which can have so many interpretations - which I love!  The ideas are endless!  This first mani, I thought of a few days ago on the first day of Chinese New Year and was inspired by red (symbolizing luck, joy and happiness) and gold (symbolizing nuetrality)!


Now let's get to the details!



Products used:
Essie - Forever Yummy
Drip Drop Nail Paint - Gold Veined Mirrors
Dream Polish - Gem Glam Top Coat (press sample)
Vivid Lacquer - VL022 Plate
Clear Jelly Stamper - Stamper, Clean Up Brush (press sample)
Daily Charme - gold bow
Cuticula - Liquid Nail Tape




I started with a base of Essie's Forever Yummy and decided to do a skittle mani!  On my pointer I added some gold foil and topped it with a shiny top coat.  On my middle I stamped with Gold Veined Mirrors and VL022 Plate and added a bow.  The ring finger and pinky were free-handed with a striper and dotted with Gold Veined Mirrors.




I really love how this turned out.  I also had to look up what animal my birth year aligns with in the Chinese Calendar - Snake!  What animal are you?  Let me know below!  Be sure to check out more manis from our group prompt below!
