Today I bring a cute trio from Vixen Lacquers. Liz, from Vixen Lacquers, has created her first Vixen Summer Trio and they are bright, sparkly and fun!
Let's get to some swatches.
First up is Save The Mermaids, a pretty glitter topper. Save The Mermaids contains several sizes of circles in teal, purple and gold along with purple and teal micro glitter. The glitter is reminicent of scales one may see on a mermaid. Photos show 1 coat over a mint undie and shiny topcaoat.
Next is Summer Fantasy, a coral jelly with gold shimmer. I love polish that shimmers under the light. This polish is a bit on the sheer side, so I used a nude colored base coat, along with 2 coats of the jelly and added a shiny topcoat in photos (1st-3rd) and matte topcoat (4th photo).
Lastly is Poolside, a slightly blue glitter jelly. Poolside contains blue circles in several sizes as well as blue micro glitter and holo dust. This polish sparkles, like the sun on a summer day hitting the pool. The blue jelly is more of a sheer tint, so I used it over a light blue undie. Photos show 2 coats over a blue undie and shiny topcoat (1st-3rd photos) and matte topcoat (4th photo).
Loves: As with previous Vixen Lacquers, formulas are great and makes application a breeze. I love a collection that throws glitter topper and jellies together. And - the polish is usable for all seasons. (Let's be honest, it's tough to pull off neons in the winter or fall.) Another added bonus is that there was no glitter fishing! And of course all Vixen Lacquers polishes are 5-free so they don't contain any of the nasty chemicals that some polish can contain.
Wishes: I enjoyed this collection and wouldn't change anything. Poolside was a lot more sheer than I expected, but the fun part will be matching it up with different blue undies to change the color up.
