Today I have a new stamping plate to share from a new indie stamping line called It Girl. It Girl is based out of Tacoma, Washingtong (my home state!) and has the 3 initial plates open for pre-order. One thing I noticed first off is that the surface of the plates isn't as reflective as others, which I prefer as it makes taking photos a LOT easier! I was able to capture each image and get a macro of each.
First up is a quatrafoil pattern image. I decided to go for a Moroccan look and started with CDB Lacquer Group Custom #2 as my base with an accent of Jenna Hipp's (JH) Just One Bite. I used a What's Up Nails Creative Shop Stamping (WUN-CSS) and Drip Drop Nail Paints (DDNP) Yoga Pants to pick up the image and let it dry on the stamper. It picked up the image flawlessly. After it dried, I used Just One Bite, JH's Look Hot Feel Cool and DDNP's Tighty Whities to fill in random spots on the stamper. Once that dried, I applied Gem Glam Top Coat (GGTC) from Dream Polish. The image was then peeled off and used as a decal to create this look! DDNP Yoga Pants was stamped over all other fingers as well and the look was topped off with a shiny top coat.
Next is the floral lace image (one of my favorite images!). I started with 2 coats of Gem Smooth Base Coat from Dream Polish. I used DDNP Yoga Pants and my WUN-CSS to pick up the image to stamp onto my nails. It picked up wonderfully and caught all the intricate details. Then I applied 3 coats of Esmaltes de Kelly Black Soap Bubbles and topped with a shiny top coat (2nd photo) and matte top coat (3rd, 4th and 5th photos). This creates such a fun sultry look...like lingerie...ooh la la!
Another fun looks is the infinity image. I started with a base of Sincerely Polish PiƱa Colada and stamped with my WUN-CSS and JH's Look Hot Feel Cool, then applied both a shiny top coat (2nd, 3rd and 4th photos) and then a matte top coat to soften it up (5th photo). Again the images of the design picked up perfectly!
Forgive me because I do not have a name for this next design (maybe badminton birdie?) but it's so pretty. I started with Envy Lacquer's Licorice Whip as my base. Next I used MPolish's Starflower and WUN-CSS and IG103 to get a clear image of the badminton birdies to make them pop over Licorice Whip. I then topped it with a shiny top coat.
The last image is of whimsical carefree scrolls. I started with Contrary Polish's When In Rome... and used JH's Daft Pink and DDNP Tighty Whities to create a gradient like stamp with the WUN-CSS. I love how grey, pink and white look together. Then I topped the look off with a shiny top coat.
Other Products used:
Lickity Split Latex Mani Mask: Ellagee Polish
Shiny Top Coat/Base Coat: Dream Polish
Matte Top Coat: Girly Bits Cosmetics Polish Matte'rs
Stamper: What's Up Nails Creative Shop Stamper
Note: IG103 plate is etched deeper than most plates, so if you do not use a lint free wipe, expect to get fuzz stuck on the plate. Fear not...all you need to do is rub your finger over the images and it comes off in a little lint ball.
Loves: I love the image selection of this plate. The image sizes are large and covered my entire nail with extra room, in fact I have small nails, so I was able to stamp 2 nails with each image! I really was impressed with this plate and I'm excited to see what other images will be coming out! She will also have the option to create your own (with minimum of 16 plates purchased). I did order the other 2 plates and maybe an extra for a blog reader!
Wishes: I wouldn't change anything. And I can't wait for the create your own plates!!
Which image is your favorite?
Happy Polishing (and Stamping!),

I adore that second look - very mysterious!
