August Mani Of The Month Box Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the August Mani Of The Month box which features products from Heather's Hues, Dream Polish and Nails Redesigned.  August's box had the theme of Sleeping Under The Stars and also had two guest contributors.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini glitter topper and assorted extra glitter all from Heather's Hues, a base coat, top coat in mini size and a nail care item from Dream Polish and an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned.

This box came with flame vinyls and silver holographic firefly decals, peach crystals all from Nails Redesigned, and Smooth Gem base coat, Gem Glam top coat and Cuticle Balm in the scent of Into The Woods from Dream Polish.  The special guest contributors both included a small sample of cuticle oil: Northern Polish in the scent of Summer Nights, which has a note of Jasmine & Got Nail in the scent of Mountain Rain which has a pleasant clean scent.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Cuddling By The Campfire from Heather's Hues.  Cuddling By The Fire is an orange, yellow, red duo chrome shifting glitter bomb with blue and purple glitters giving the look of an evening campfire.  Photos show 2 coats with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

Next is a purple glitter jelly called Catching Fireflies.  This purple jelly contains purple and silver micro glitter and neon green small hexes.  This really looked like a clear night with spots of fireflies.  I've only seen fireflies a few times in my life (they don't live west of the Mississippi River), so when I spent a few summers in college in upstate New York I was amazed by them!  Formula was smooth and applied nicely.  Photos show 2 coats with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream polish (1st and 2nd photos) and with matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

I also did a few nail art looks using the vinyls and rhine stones provided by Nails Redesigned.  First I started with a base of Cuddling By The Campfire from Heather's Hues, then I added Dream Polish Gem Glam Top Coat and allowed to it to dry.  Next I applied the fire vinyls from Nail Redesigned and painted with Rimmel London Black Satin and topped with Dream Polish Ultra Wax Top Coat.  I loved how it ended up looking!

I also did some nail art using Catching Fireflies from Heather's Hues and adding the extra glitters that Heather includes as well as a vinyl decal of a silver holographic firefly from Nails Redesigned.  Then I added Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

The last look I did included the rhinestones from Nails Redesigned and some wave vinyls from her as well (acquired in a previous box).  I used Cuddling By The Campfire from Heather's Hues and Rimmel London Black Satin and of course Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

The Dream Polish products in the box were all in the scent of Into The Woods.  Nice pleasant scent....soothing and calming.

Loves: LOVE Heather's Hues glitter jellies.  They apply perfectly and look gorgeous with shiny and matte top coat.  I also love the fire vinyls from Nails Redesigned, it gives a great look to any mani.  The scent for Dream Polish products was a clean scent too, which I love!

Wishes:  Although I do love cuticle oil and enjoyed both scents in this month's box, I'd prefer trying new brands of polish or other hand care products (lotion, balm, mani bombs) because I have a basket overflowing with cuticle oils.
