Super Nails Birthstones and Night Life

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample* I know what you are thinking…another Super Nails Review?  But I can't help it!  The glitter combinations, shapes and colors are amazing!  I must share!  All the sparkly goodies can be purchased at Super Nails store on Etsy which also includes cute studs.

Today I will be sharing two birthstone polishes (March and May) as well as two other polishes that are available on her store.

First up is March, which is Aquamarine - a soft light blue, which contains 3 different hex sizes of this delicate pale blue.  As March approaches, spring colors are most popular, so I used a yellow and pink undie to highlight the soft blue and topped it off with turquoise circle studs.  Pinky and thumb show 2 coats, while triangles are dabbed on.  If you are a March baby or love soft baby blue, this is the most perfect polish for you!

The next birthstone is May, which is Emerald, a beautiful bold green.  I love this bright green glitter topper.  Here I have it over a pale pink undie and used tape to dab it on half my nail.  Great spring color to add to any pastel!  This glitter topper includes 4 different hex sizes in this green.  If you love green or were born in May this is perfect!  This may also get some use over Christmas and St. Patrick's Day - I love a versatile glitter.

Going Through Phases is a fun glitter topper/glitter bomb.  It is jam packed full of glitter, with no fishing required.  In the photos I have it over a black because it is best to see the moon and stars at night.  This glitter polish contains silver crescent moons, two different sized silver circles, micro silver hexes, the occasional silver bar and silver holo shards.  I did a glitter gradient on my nails, but ring finger is glitter placement of the crescent & circles.

Lastly is City Lights, which is my favorite.  It contains purple, magenta and silver hexes in multiple sizes and a bar glitter here or there.  It is most definitely a glitter bomb.  Thumb and ring finger show 2 coats, while other fingers show a black/grey gradient with a strip of the glitter bomb in the middle.  Beautiful combination of glitters!

Loves:  As usual KC (owner of Super Nails) out did herself with glitter combinations.  She knows the shape, size and colors that will work well together.  I haven't been disappointed in a polish from her yet & I've swatched quite a few of her polishes.  (I mean, this is my third blog review of her glittery goodies!)

Improvements: None!  I love seeing what KC comes up with.

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 8

Greetings & Nailutations,

Another week passes, with the east coast & midwest getting a lot of snow & cold…it's comfortable here in the Arizona desert with it being 70F (or 21C) & comfortable.  This next week it is supposed to be in the upper 70's all week.  I love desert winters.

OK - enough rubbing in our beautiful weather, let's get onto some of my favorites from instagram this week!

First is a swatch I did for Daily Hues Nail Lacquer called Cadence.  This teal holo with gold studs combo is one of my favorites because I love those colors together!

Next is a swatch of Drip Drop Nail Paint called Stairway To Heaven with light pink Butter London Teddy Girl and a gold color sponged on.  I was obsessed with gold this week.

Third mani was fun to look at and smell.  This is using Revlon Parfumerie brand Wild Violets & it still smelled of Violets with a topcoat on top of it!  I may have been caught sniffing my nails at work a few times!

Next is a fun leopard ombre pattern with was topped with a matte topcoat.  They were very distracting at work - because I loved how soft they looked.

Now onto my Pajama Nail Art!  Theme was to match outfit of the day & I am still not feeling well, but yesterday I wore my pajamas all day & this is the pattern on the pants.

And lastly, I wanted to go with something streamlined & simple & this is what I got.

ND Lacquers and a Giveaway

Greetings & Nailutations!

Today's blog review is on three of the polishes from ND Lacquers Viva La France Collection.  ND Lacquers recently released it's "Spring Flowers" Collection and they are beautiful!  I had to get a full and mini size of the "Spring Flowers" and will review in the next few weeks (with a giveaway of that collection).  Today we will focus on some pretties I bought during a sale.

First off is Can-Can Girls, which is a barbie pink squishy jelly with magenta hex glitter & turquoise square glitters.  It is beautiful, fun & bright!  Pictures show 2 coats and you can see slight visible nail line (VNL), so 3 coats would provide total opacity.

Soft and delicate is how I would describe the next polish.  A very light pale pink with grey glitters & peach circles.  I decided to swatch without the peach circles and LOVED the way it turned out.  Calm and subdued enough for work nails, but exciting with the addition of the grey glitters.  (Luckily I can get away with any color on my nails at work.)  Picture shows 2 coats and you can see slight VNL, so roughly 3 coats would provide total opacity.

Lastly is a jelly glitter bomb called A Night In Cannes.  It contains turquoise and magenta glitter that combine to create this gorgeous stunner.  It sparkles so much, I took an out of focus shot to demonstrate.

Pros: Beautiful colors & combinations.  The part of the collection I swatched matched the theme.  Creative mix of crelly and jellies with glitters.  It may be difficult to wait to swatch the "Spring Flowers" collection!  :)
Cons: more on me….I wish I had more of the Viva La France Collection!

And now for the good news - I bought doubles of each of these to share with a lucky winner.  US address is a must, 18 years or older OR required insta-vid via instagram with your parents permission if you are 13-17.

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Review

Greetings & Nailutations,

*Press Sample* Today's review is on two polishes from indie brand Daily Hues Nail Lacquer.  Jenn, the creator and owner, asked me to swatch two of her pretties.

First up is Cadence, which is a beautiful teal gem-like polish.  A bold holo, with visible little specks of  shimmer in it.  It was opaque in just 1 coat and is just gorgeous.  There are a total of 5 colors in the collection (including a royal blue, lavender, pink, and black).  I definitely want…scratch that….I definitely NEED the royal blue & black!  And lavender (radiant orchid) should probably be added since it was named the color of the year!  However….I just saw a swatch from Cheyenne (@cdbnails143) of the pink…I may need that one too!

The second one is called Birdie, which is a shimmery glitter topper.  It is a clear base with gold shimmer flecks & hex glitters of grey, yellow, green, purple red, coral and pink.  I couldn't decide how to show off this glitter topper, so I used a dark green (Zoya's Hunter) & a light pink (Butter London, Teddy Girl).  This shows how versatile this glitter topper can be.

These two beauties along with many others can be purchased on her Etsy shop: Daily Hues.  Also, she will be releasing a Valentine's collection as well, so be on the look out for that!

Super Nails Winter Collection

Greetings & Nailutations!

*Press Sample* Today I bring you another review of Super Nails.  I love the glitter combinations KC (IG username: @kseagale) comes up with - her mind must be very sparkly!  This collection is her winter collection & is full of fun!  I also included swatches from 2 other of her polishes (February Birthstone & a Valentine's Day glitter topper).

First from the winter collection is Snow Bunny, which is a pretty glitter topper.  It has white small, medium and large hexes, lavender medium, small hexes as well as square lavender glitters and beautiful pink snowflakes.  In the photos I have it over a navy blue (Sailor by Zoya).  Glitter fishing was required on this polish due to the size difference in glitters - I used a bamboo stick because I found it is a great glitter fishing rod! haha

Next up is Snow Day.  I saw the iridescent glitter in this one & knew I wanted to use a dark color to make them pop!  I used the same navy blue as above & when I swatched it I was amazed at all the colors that glittered. Warning: if you purchase this polish, it is VERY distracting (in a good way), and you will be staring at your nails all day.  It contains multi-colored iridescent glitters along with silver holo snow flakes.  No glitter fishing was required on this polish.

Last of the Winter Collection is Fresh Powder Snow.  I really wanted to show the beautiful glitter, so I kept with the trend of using the navy blue & was hit by blue-green iridescent glitters along with the white snow flakes.  I also added an extra snowflake using a snow flake charm from Daily Charme.  Due to the small difference in glitter sizes, glitter fishing was required.

The next swatches are from her Birthstone Collection - February Amethyst.  A pretty lavender glitter topper with hexes & squares and micro purple holo.  It is topped over a lavender & dark purple polish.

And this last swatch is from her Valentine's Day Collection called Love You To The Moon And Back. It is adorable!  And no glitter fishing!  Topped over white & pink polish.

And those are the beauties I have for you from Super Nails.  All can be found on her shop on Etsy Super Nails.
