3 Empties: Liquid Glam Lacquer Sugar Scrub, Kitty Polish Top Coat and Burt's Bees Hand Creme

Greetings and Nailutations,

It's another installment of 3 empties, where I review 3 products I have used up and express my opinion on how well they worked, how well they smelled, their packaging and if I'd make a repeat purchase.

First up is Liquid Glam Lacquer's Lemon Zest Sugar Scrub.  I had ordered this product quite a while ago and it held up with no evaporation.  I actually used 2 of these 6 oz containers up and was overall pleased with the product.  The sugar grains were a bit larger and the listing of the product said to use twice daily.  For me, I used it every few days due to coarser grain size of sugar.  This would be the perfect scrub for pedicures!
Smell Test: fresh lemon, clean and pleasant
Feel Test: too coarse for more than every other day use, but would be great for pedicures, light oils for moisturizing are also in the product
Packaging Test: easy to open screw on cap and plastic container, can be re-used for storage as well
Buy Again: yes!  My hands were much softer after using the product every other day.

The next product I used up was Kitty Polish Gardenia scented top coat.  This was my first scented top coat and this is the polish that made me fall in love with scented top coats.  I have also tried her ocean mist scented top coat and it is AMAZING!
Smell Test: WOW!  One of my favorite scents in a top coat that I have tried.  It smells like a LUSH shampoo product.  I could not stop sniffing my fingers when I wore it!
Feel or Look Test: great sheen and shine when I used this product.  Photo example below.
Packaging: Brush easy to work with.
Buy Again: YES!  However this scent is not longer available....but ocean mist is!

The last product to share today is Burt's Bees Beeswax & Banana Hand Creme.  I got a small sample size and I could not use it up.  The scent and texture was not favorable to me.  I gave it several tries and finally just admitted defeat.  I do like other products from Burt's Bees, but this one fell short on the appeal.
Smell Test: it smelled like wax/crayons
Feel or Look Test: It made my hands sticky and it felt like there was a film on them.  It wasn't smooth to put on and would pull my skin when I tried to apply it
Packaging: I love the screw on cap and glass container.
Buy Again: I will pass on trying this product.

Have you tried any of these products?  Did you have similar or different experiences than I did?

Liquid Kandi Fall Collection Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I am reviewing Liquid Kandi's first fall collection.  It consists of 4 polishes, all different finishes that make it fun and diverse!

Let's get to some swatches!

First up is Trendsetter, a fall maize-like yellow crelly containing silver holographic glitter.  I love that this yellow isn't too bright, but the perfect shade of golden rod yellow.  (My husband selected that description....he originally said mustard yellow, but I dislike mustard so I asked him to find another description.)  Formula was smooth and creamy for easy application.  This polish is actually a one coater if you use a thick coat, but photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Swiss Chocolate, a creamy brown crelly.  The name says it all....it looks like chocolate, I expected to smell it too!  Formula was perfection (most chocolate is).  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

5th Av is next, an orange-red jelly.  Easy to work with formula and fun bright fall color.  This is the perfect jelly to use in a jelly sandwich (jelly-glitter-jelly).  To get total opacity, I used 3 coats with shiny topcoat.

Lastly is Plaid Skirts & Tights, a fun glitter topper.  Plaid Skirts & Tights contains orange, yellow and red hexes in a few sizes as well as some iridescent glitter that popped over dark navy blue. Photos show 2 coats over 5th Ave (1st and 2nd photos) and over Jenna Hipp I Cast A Spell On Blue (3rd and 4th photos) with shiny topcoat.

Shiny Top Coat: Kitty Polish in the scent of Gardenia

Loves:  Formula - formula - formula!  Crelly, glitter crelly, jelly and glitter topper - these 4 are perfection in a bottle and Liquid Kandi has proven that she can hit the mark on all finishes.  Liquid Kandi polish is also 5-free, so it doesn't contain 5 nasties that can be found in polish.

Wishes:  I wouldn't change a thing!

CDB Lacquer Halloween Polishes Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Who all loves Halloween?  I love seeing all the polishes emerge from the depths of Halloween spirit from the indie owners!  Today I'm sharing 4 of the 8 beautiful polishes from CDB Lacquer's Halloween collection and then also her October Limited Edition polish.  Be sure to check out her store for all the polish available, another new collection released this week as well.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is The Sanderson Sisters, a white glitter crelly.   The Sanderson Sisters contains green, magenta, black, orange and white small and micro glitter.  This polish is really pretty AND it glows in the dark!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Time Warp, a lovely black glitter jelly.  Time Warp contains black and white micro glitter, black medium circles and white stars.  I left the polish upside down overnight prior to swatching it and there was minimal glitter fishing.  Photos show 2 thick coats and shiny top coat.

Just A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus is up next...another tribute polish to the three Sanderson sisters.  (As I was swatching these, the movie came on....creepy!)  Just A Bunch Of Hocus Pocus is a gorgeous purple glitter jelly containing silver and black hexes in small and medium sizes as well as white and silver holo stars.  The jelly base also contains rainbow holo dust which gives it some extra sparkle!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last of the Halloween polishes I have to share today is Spookfest.  Spookfest is a light neon green glitter crelly that contains green, orange, purple, black and white glitter.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The extra special limited edition for this month is called Howling Wolf, a dark grey holographic polish.  It is absolutely stunning!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Shiny Top Coat is from Kitty Polish www.kittypolish.com

Loves:  Um....HALLOWEEN polish - do I need to say anything else?!!  The best thing about this collection (including the other polishes that are part of it) is that they aren't explicitly "Halloween" so you can wear them all year long.  Love polishes that are versatile.  I also absolutely loved the Limited Edition Holo - NEED THEM ALL!  Easy formula to work with and apply.  And of course an added bonus besides being pretty polishes is that they are 5-free and don't contain the 5 of the nasty chemicals that polish can contain.

Wishes:  I wish I would have bought the September Limited Edition Holo earlier...don't worry, I just got it!!  :)
