It Girl IG108 Stamping Plate Review Part 2

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have the second installment of the new stamping plate from It Girl Nail Art.  There are 3 new plates available for purchase: IG107 (inspired by the art deco movement), IG108 (inspired by the Art Nouveau movement) and IG109 (features fine lines and intricate details).  You can also purchase all 3 for a great deal.  I'll be sharing the second half of the manis I created and my thoughts using IG108 plate in this post.  In addition to stamping plates, she also has scrapers with nail sizes on them (see below in the photo).

Now let's get to the manis!

Born Pretty Store Stamping Plate BP-25 Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I will be sharing a product that I received from Born Pretty Store, which is an online store that sells nail art supplies, tools, polish, decals, and even home goods and clothes!  Born Pretty carries affordable products and you can purchase in bulk as well.

The product I am reviewing today is the Rose Queen Theme Nail Art Stamp Template Image BP-25 Plate (item: 17202).  It contains 9 separate designs that are rose related.  I liked that there were small single images and designs that can cover the entire nail.  All plates from Born Pretty Store arrive with a blue protective film.  It is easily peeled off to reveal the images etched into the plate.

March Mani Of The Month Box Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the March Mani Of The Month box which feature products from Heather's HuesDream Polish and Nails Redesigned.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini glitter topper and assorted extra glitter from Heather's Hues, a base coat, top coat in mini size and a nail care item from Dream Polish and an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned.

Aside from the polish, this box came with green 4-leaf clover and gold horse shoes decals and stencils for the symbols of a deck of cards (diamond, heart, clubs and spades) and light green and emerald green crystals, Lucky Charms scented top coat and base coat and cuticle oil that smell amazing!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First polish is a Heather's Hues glitter topper called I'm So Blarney Stoned, which contains gold and green holographic hexes in a few sizes.  This polish compliments any undie and I used it two different ways.  First I used it as a glitter gradient over Flamingo Fanfare from Firecracker Lacquer topped with a Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish (1st photo).  Then I also used it in a jelly sandwich between two layers of  Face of Yellow from Fangirl Polish topped with both a Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish (2nd and 3rd photos) and matte top coat (4th photo).

The second polish from Heather's Hues is a fun dusty metallic green polish with orange flakes called Kiss Me, I'm Irish.  It went on easy and photos show 2 coats with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

I also used the extra glitters from Heather's Hues on top of Kiss Me, I'm Irish and sealed it with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

The last mani I did used the extra glitters from Heather's Hues in a jelly sandwich along with the smaller crystals from Nails Redesigned.  The jelly is Wooooooooo! from Fangirl Polish topped with matte top coat.

Unfortunately, since I had a break and had to cut my nails, I could not utilize the stencils, vinyls or larger crystals as they took up my entire nail or were touching my skin.

Matte Top Coat: O.P.I. Matte Top Coat

Loves:  I loved the fun look of the glitter topper in both a jelly sandwich and as a topper, it compliments an array of colors.  Kiss Me, I'm Irish is original and dimensional.  The glitter is colorful and contains a ton of shapes in different colors.  The smell of the top coat/base coat and cuticle is amazing as well.

Wishes:  I wish the decals and stencils were a little smaller so I was able to show how awesome they can be, but don't worry, I will be using them once the nails grow out a bit.

You can order the Mani Of The Month Box from any of the 3 brands above!

Happy Polishing,

Firecracker Lacquer Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutaions,

*Press Sample*
Today I am sharing a new-to-me indie brand called Firecracker Lacquer.  Kendahl, the owner of Firecracker Lacquer, has released 5 collections and sent me 3 polishes to swatch and review from two of the collections.  She also carries nail studs in her store, to add a little pizzazz to your mani.  Firecracker Lacquer is 5-free so it doesn't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in polish.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Your Mom Thought I Was Big Enough, which is part of the Meet Your Maker Collection.  This polish is a multi-chrome that shifts from purple-blue to orange-red depending on what is placed under it.  It applied easily and looks gorgeous over a dark color and soft and delicate on it's own (see my instagram page for photos with no undie @beginnails).  Photos show 2 coats over Drip Drop Nail Paint's Yoga Pants (black) topped with shiny top coat.

Next is Flamingo Fanfare, part of the Captivating Creatures Collection.  Flamingo Fanfare is a bright pink almost neon holographic polish.  Formula was smooth and applied perfectly.  This polish is perfect for spring.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish I have to share today is a glitter jelly called Punked, which is also part of the Meet Your Maker Collection.  Punked is a black jelly that contains magenta, purple, teal and silver holographic hexes in 2 sizes.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and O.P.I. Matte Top Coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Shiny top coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com

Loves:  I love the formulas on all the different finishes that Firecracker Lacquer sent me.  They are creamy and apply like a dream.  I also love the versatility of the multi-chrome since it can be used on it's own with 3 coats or over a dark color.  If I had to pick a favorite of the 3, I would go with Flamingo Fanfare.  It's perfect for spring, with it's bright uplifting pink sparkle!  And the added plus of Firecracker Lacquer's is that their products are 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in polish.

Wishes:  These 3 that I tried were amazing.  I wouldn't change anything about them.  Now I want some more of the Captivating Creatures collection!  There are some really fun bright colors that make me ready for spring!
