Born Pretty Store Cuticle Tattoos Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I will be sharing a product that I received from Born Pretty Store, which is an online store that sells nail art supplies, tools, polish, decals, and even home goods and clothes!  Born Pretty carries affordable products and you can purchase in bulk as well.

The product I am reviewing today is a Sheet Cuticle Tattoo Nail Art Stickers Water Transfer Temporary Decals Lace Flower Patterns (item: 19807). It's a fun way to accentuate your nails and add a little boom-pow to any mani.  They are very easy to apply and work like any temporary tattoo.

1) cut out the image you want
2) remove the plastic film
3) place the image (image down) to your skin (or nail)
4) use a dampened sponge and wet the paper for 15-20 seconds
5) remove paper and the image will be on your skin

The manis below show CDB Lacquer's Dazzling Dreams topped with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish and the tattoos on 2 accent nails.

To remove the image, nail polish remove works quickly and easily.

Loves:  This product was easy to use and looked great!  I loved how it created a fun new look to a swatch.  Also easy to remove!  There are a few designs to select from on The Born Pretty Store.

Wishes:  I'd love to see other colors (aside from black) offered.

Overcast Matte Collection from CDB Lacquer Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I am sharing the Overcast Matte Collection releasing Friday August 21st from CDB Lacquer.  This collection contains 5 muted bright matte colors.  The inspiration Cheyenne used was how bright colors have a muted look while the weather is overcast.  They all dry to a matte finish which is slightly textured.  I have 2 of the colors with no matte top coat and I also show them with a shiny top coat.

It Girl IG103 Stamping Plate Review Part 1

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have a new stamping plate to share from a new indie stamping line called It Girl.  It Girl is based out of Tacoma, Washingtong (my home state!) and has the 3 initial plates open for pre-order. One thing I noticed first off is that the surface of the plates isn't as reflective as others, which I prefer as it makes taking photos a LOT easier!  I was able to capture each image and get a macro of each.

Now let's get to some manis!

CDB Lacquer August Limited Edition Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
CDB Lacquer released her August LE August 1st and it is nearly sold out!  The polish is a luscious blurple (blue + purple) crelly with teal micro glitter, white and purple matte hexes in a few sizes and royal blue hexes.  The formula was easy to apply and there was no glitter fishing.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com

Loves: I love Cheyenne's glitter crellies.  The inventive combination of colors in how she has several glitters that go with the hues of blurple and then a color of glitter to pop on Summer Showers is stunning.  I also love that there was zero glitter fishing.  All of CDB Lacquer products are 5-free as well, so they don't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in polish.

Wishes: This polish is perfection!  I love purples and this shade is amazing!  I wouldn't add or take anything away from it!

MPolish Stamping Polishes Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

One form of nail art I really love is stamping, this is where an image is etched into a metal plate and polish is spread onto the plate picked up by a stamper and transferred onto the nails.  Initially when I first started trying it (a little over a year ago) I had many struggles, but practice, watching You Tube tutorials and never giving up paid off.  Typically I stamp with cremes, but I had heard about a brand that made shimmer polishes for stamping that look amazing over darker colors, so I had to buy the collection!  The brand is called MPolish and it is 5-free (so it doesn't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in polish).

Now let's get to some stamping!

First up is Apple Blossom which is a shimmery pink polish.  As soon as I saw it, I knew it had to be paired with black to really make it pop.  The black is Yoga Pants from Drip Drop Nail Paint.  I stamped with Apple Blossom and Winstonia W101 Plate to create a cute leopard look.  Then I added gold studs and shiny top coat.

Bells of Ireland is the green shimmer stamping polish.  I used it over a beautiful blue jelly with green micro flakies that matched Bells of Ireland perfectly.  I stamped using Vivid Lacquer VL022 Plate over Candied Apple Polish Serenity and topped it all with a shiny top coat.

Next is Apricot Delight which has an orange shimmer to it.  I decided to pair it with a deep red wine colored polish called After Dinner by Black Luna Lacquer.  I stamped with Winstonia Plate W301 and added a bee gold charm from Hex Nail Jewelry and topped it all off with a shiny top coat.

Then I used the white pearlescent shimmer polish called Snowberry.  I used a lace pattern off of Vivid Lacquer VL028 plate adding a double stamping on 1 finger as an accent.  I used Heather's Hues Rain Rain, Go Away as my undie and topped it all with a shiny top coat.

Next is Sweetclover, a yellow shimmer polish.  I decided to test a lighter colored polish with the yellow to see how well the polishes do over non-dark colors.  I was very impressed when I paired Sweetclover with CDB Lacquer's Butterfly Kisses using MoYou Princess Plate 14 all topped with shiny top coat.

The last look (and my absolute favorite) is using Starflower.  Starflower is a blue shimmer and it is stunning.  I paired it with a deep purple jelly with blue micro flakies called Restore The Classics from Drip Drop Nail Paint.  I used Emily de Molly EDM05 Plate and topped it with a shiny top coat and also a matte top coat.

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com
Matte Top Coat: Polish Matte'rs from Girly Bits Cosmetics

Loves: Great finishes for stamping polishes, the shimmer really adds a fun look to the manis.  They were all easy to work with and stamped perfectly.  I love the wide brushes as well.  And of course the polishes are 5-free too!

Wishes: Although the polishes can be used on their own for swatching, the brushes weren't as easy to use for application and created streaks.  I had used them as undies to some glitter toppers.  I also wish there were more colors with these finishes....like a red and purple!

Have you tried stamping?  If not, what is keeping you at bay?

CDB Lacquer Spring Trio Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I have a floral inspired Spring Trio Collection from CDB Lacquer to share with you.  They release April 10th and will be $8 for full size.  As a reminder, CDB Lacquer polishes are 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in some polish.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Flowers Bloom, a white crelly that contains yellow, lavender and pinky-coral small & micro hex glitters.  The formula is creamy and applied perfectly.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

The second polish in the collection is Spring Garden.  Spring Garden is a bubble gum pink crelly with purple holographic and pink hex glitters.  This one is such a perfect pink with a formula to match.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

The last polish of the trio and my favorite is called Butterfly Kisses.  Butterfly Kisses is a lavender crelly with blue and yellow small and micro hex glitter.  This one also had a great formula.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish
Matte Top Coat from O.P.I. Products

Loves:
When I first saw these polishes, they looked like a bouquet of flowers!  Cheyenne hit the mark on spring crellies with these three.  The formulas on all were perfection and applied smoothly.  They looked great with a shiny top coat and looked soft and delicate like petals on a flower with matte top coat.  CDB Lacquer carries 5 free polishes, so they don't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be in polish.

Wishes:  I hope to see more of these crellies in future CDB collections!

Which is your favorite?  Is it the same as mine??  :)

CDB Lacquer Valentine's Duo Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I have a glitter-tastical very Limited Edition Valentine's duo from CDB Lacquer to share with you.  They release February 1st, so make sure you set your alarms!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First is Deep Desire, a micro glitter bomb.  Deep Desire contains red, maroon micro glitters and silver micro flakes.  This polish can be worn alone or as a glitter topper.  The formula on this polish was AMAZING.  It applied evenly and was smooth.  This polish also comes with a red, black and silver holographic bag of hearts.  Photos show 3 thin coats to obtain total opacity and shiny top coat.

The second polish of the duo is Sweet Kisses and is also a micro glittter bomb.  Sweet Kisses can also be worn on it's own or as a glitter topper.  It contains pink, magenta, and silver micro glitter and white dots.  It also comes with a small bag of pink, white and silver holographic heart glitters.  Photos show 2 coats with an additional coats sponged on with shiny top coat.

Top Coat: Virtuous Top Coat
Bows: Charmingly Simple Nail Art

Loves:  I will be honest, I have stayed away from micro glitter bombs because my previous experience with one (from another indie brand) fell short of expectations due to really thick formula.  CDB Lacquer has PERFECTED the micro glitter bomb with a smooth formula that is very easy to apply.  She has made me re-evaluate my previous assumptions of the micro glitter bomb and now I need to explore them!  My favorite of these two is Deep Desire!  CDB Lacquer also has 5 free polishes, so they don't contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that can be in polish.

Wishes:  I now wish to try more micro glitters!  I hope CDB Lacquer makes more!!!
