Born Pretty Stamping Plate BP-07

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I will be sharing a product that I received from Born Pretty Store, which is an online store that sells nail art supplies, tools, polish, decals, and even home goods and clothes!  Born Pretty carries affordable products and you can purchase in bulk as well.

The product I am reviewing today is the Butterfly Nail Art Stamp Template Image BP-07 Plate (item: 16854).  It contains 4 separate designs that are butterfly and floral related.  All plates from Born Pretty Store arrive with a blue protective film.  It is easily peeled off to reveal the images etched into the plate.

Now let's get to some manis!

First up is the beautiful butterfly image.  I stamped it with Yoga Pants over Gold Veined Mirrors which are both from Drip Drop Nail Paint and topped it with a shiny top coat.

Next is a tribal/aztec design which I stamped with Tighty Whities from Drip Drop Nail Paint over Elevation Polish Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles topped with a shiny top coat.

Then the swirly spirals were stamped on with Jenna Hipp's Jenna and The Giant Peach over Bicycle Built For Two from Drip Drop Nail Paint topped with a shiny top coat.

The last image and my favorite because it's perfect for coloring in is the floral pattern.  I started with Tighty Whities and stamped with Yoga Pants, both from Drip Drop Nail Paint and used Esmaltes de Kelly's Soap Bubbles and topped with a wax top coat.

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat and Wax Top Coat from www.DreamPolish.com

Loves:  Love that each image picked up and transferred to my nails perfectly.  I also loved the large floral image perfect for lead lighting and also the dainty butterfly image.  All products from Born Pretty Store are super affordable as well.

Wishes:  Very pleased with this plate!  Great images!  I look forward to other BPS plates - I have one more to review!

Born Pretty Store Perfect French Manicure Edge Tip Guides Product Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I will be sharing a product that I received from Born Pretty Store, which is an online store that sells nail art supplies, tools, polish, decals, and even home goods and clothes!  Born Pretty carries affordable products and you can purchase in bulk as well.

The product I am reviewing today is the Perfect French Manicure Edge Tip Guides (item: 6542).  They are stickers that you place on your nail to help guide polishing.  The best part about them is that they can be used for any design, not just a french manicure, which I show below.  The set I received contained 3 types (circle, arrow, and fancy).

Now let's get to some manis!

The circle nail guides are the classic french manicure shape.  I decided to use them on the slant/corner of my nail instead of straight across.  Be sure to use a quick dry top coat and allow your under polish to dry completely before using this product.  Once it is placed where you want it, paint another polish to create a "tip."  In this mani I used Pipedream Polish Validate Me as the under polish and Bicycle Built For Two from Drip Drop Nail Paint and topped it with a shiny top coat.

Next up is the fancy nail guides, which were like a little hill.  I decided to use these as a "deep" tip, so it resembled more of a half moon design.  These turned out very soft and delicate with the use of pink and gold.  I used Drip Drop Nail Paint's Pink Ferrari as the base and added Julep's Harlow and shiny top coat.  The bow is from Born Pretty Store.

The last look is using the arrow nail guide, which looks like a single chevron.  I decided to use this in the middle of the nail with stamping.  I painted my nails with Elevation Polish Ceram Sea and then applied the quick dry top coat and waited for it to dry.  Then I applied the nail guide(s), stamped with Winstonia Plate W112 and Drip Drop Nail Paint's Pink Ferrari and then after removing the guides added a silver line to accent the unstamped portion.  Then used a shiny top coat.

Shiny Top Coat: Quick dry top coat Seche Vite and shiny top coat is Gloss It from Krafty Gurl Designs

Loves:  This product really makes creating a french tip easy.  I love it because it pushed me to be creative when using the products.  I also love that Born Pretty Store products are affordable.

Wishes:  Love this product!  Wouldn't change a thing!

February 2015 A Box, Indied Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the February exclusive polishes from Llarowe's A Box, Indied.  As previously mentioned, Llarowe in an online indie stockist which has a monthly subscription box.  This month's theme was "A Box, CANDIED."  There are still boxes available if you decided that these 5 lacquers are for you!  Sorry these are so late!  My vacation set me back on blog posts!

Now let's get to some swatches.

First polish is Candy Is Dandy from Black Cat Lacquer.  Candy Is Dandy is a deep purple glitter jelly containing purple micro glitter and small purple hexes.  This is the most purpley purplish purple polish ever!  It applied nicely and evenly.  Photo show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Next is a polish from Crows Toes, a beautiful glitter jelly called Even Sugar Melts In The Devil's Mouth.  This polish contains light pink, purple micro glitter and grey flakes in a black jelly.  This polish is so original and unique.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st, 2nd and 3rd photos) and matte top coat (4th, 5th and 6th and photos).

Cotton Candy Crush is next, a lavender glitter crelly from Hare Polish.  This polish reminds me of the early blooming spring flowers.  Cotton Candy Crush contains light pink, turquoise matte hexes and circles as well as gold flakes and micro glitter.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Next polish is Sweet Nothings, a soft white glitter crelly from Serum N5.  Sweet Nothings contains yellow, magenta, purple and turquoise hex glitters in a few sizes.  The best thing about this white crelly is that it also contains purple shimmer, which is visible in the light.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish is from Elevation and called Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles.  This polish is my favorite of the box.  It's gorgeous in both a shiny and matte top coat.  Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles is a deep dark chocolate brown with light pink and lavender micro flakes.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com
Matte Top Coat: O.P.I. Top Coat

Loves:  Formula on all 5 were great!  I love the dark looks of Rose Cardamom Chocolate Truffles and Even Sugar Melts In The Devil's Mouth.  They balance with the softer lighter polishes in the box.

Wishes:  I wish I had captured photos of Sweet Nothings with matte top coat!

Which is your favorite?

February Mani of the Month Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the February Mani Of The Month box which feature products from Heather's HuesDream Polish and Nails Redesigned.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini glitter topper and assorted extra glitter from Heather's Hues, a base coat, top coat in mini size and a nail care item from Dream Polish and an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned.

Aside from the polish, this box came with handcuff, heart/broken heart and arrow vinyl decals, Bed of Roses scented top coat and base coat and cuticle balm that smell amazing!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First polish is a Heather's Hues glitter topper called Bound By Your Love.  It contains black, red, purple, magenta and silver hexes in a few sizes, circles and shards.  It's perfect for Valentine's Day (or since it is past that) any day!  I also used a vinyl decal from Nails Redesigned of handcuffs (so sassy!).  I have it shown here with 2 coats dabbed on over Elevation Polish Ceram Sea topped with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

The second polish from Heather's Hues is a beautiful thermal called Love Hurts.  Love Hurts is pink when warm and purple when cold with pink, magenta and silver hex small and micro glitter in it.  This therm is VERY sensitive and it provided hours of fun for me while on vacation.  I have it shown with 2 coats topped with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.

I also used Love Hurts and some of the crystals from Nails Redesigned.  The mani below features stamping from MoYou Princess #14 Plate and Drip Drop Nail Paint Tighty Whities topped with Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish and crystals.

Loves:  This was a sweet box!  Gorgeous polish....love how sensitive this thermal is, and the glitter topper is really pretty!  The vinyl decals are fun and can be used for other nail art and manis...I'll have to be clever with the handcuffs.  Haha.  The smells are sweet and floral, not too over powering on the cuticle balm and top coat/base coat.

Wishes:  I wish I had done this review earlier!  haha, my week long vacation set me back a bit on blog reviews.

You can order the Mani Of The Month Box from any of the 3 brands above!
