Red Eyed Lacquer Novels and Nails March Group Custom

Greetings and Nailutations,

Press sample
Today I am sharing the March group custom for Novels and Nails Facebook group created by Red Eyed Lacquer.  The inspiration for this group custom is the book Matilda by Roald Dahl!  Bianca, the owner of Red Eyed created a polish and a cuticle oil.

Let's get to the details!

Polish Name: Polish - Flying Past The Stars, Cuticle Oil - Bruce! Bruce! Bruce!
Prices: $15 for duo, polish - $12, cuticle oil - $5
Available: March 15th 11am EST - March 31st 11:59 EST
Join Novels and Nails for coupon code discounts of $2 on the duo or $1 on individual items.

The custom polish is called Flying Past The Stars, which is stated by Matilda to Miss Honey.  It is a red/blue-purple shifting base with aqua/green/gold shifting shimmer.  Formula was easy to apply and it's shown with 2 coats and a glossy top coat.

I also had to mattify it and it did not disappoint.

The cuticle oil is in the scent Bruce! Bruce! Bruce! and is inspired by Bruce Bogtrotter and the huge cake that he must consume in front of the school.  It is in the scent strawberry chocolate and comes in a 5ml rollerball.

Loves: Flying Past The Stars is such a lovely shade, the finish is gorgeous in both glossy and matte.  I love colors like this that pass as work appropriate, but also add some nail art and you got a rock star mani!  I also love the packaging of the cuticle oil - the little roller balls are perfect to put in my purse pocket to take on the go.

Wishes: If you haven't read the book, I hope you have at least seen the movie, so you get a sense for the meaning behind both products.

  1. The roll on aspect of that cuticle oil seems so much less messy than my dropper bottle!

  2. I've watched the movie many times with my 6 year old. She (and I) would love this polish.

  3. The cuticle oil sounds delicious! I am almost out of my current roller set up for work so I need to pick this one up for sure. Rollers are so convenient for on the go use!

Thank you for your comment. :)
