It's another installment of 3 empties, where I review 3 products I have used up and express my opinion on how well they worked, how they smelled, their packaging and if I'd make a repeat purchase.
Feel Test: courser grit, leaves hands exfoliated and moisturized
Packaging Test: tub contains a ton of product and it's super easy to use the adorable wooden spoon it comes with
Buy Again: I enjoyed the scent, grit helped keep me exfoliated. I would definitely purchase this in the future more for pedicures.
Smell Test: smelled like a vacation, notes of fruits as well as a light hint of flower
Feel Test: after soaking for a good 5 minutes, I pat dried my hands and instantly felt like my hands were dry and had to reach for my lotion.
Packaging Test: Packaging is in a little jello shot plastic containers. I may have gotten a bad batch/old batch. The plastic at the sides were all split (maybe this is what dried out the oil & made the mani shot not effective?).
Buy Again: Honestly, I bought quite a few, so I will test out the others. This was one of the few that had packaging issues, so I'm hoping it was just this one.
Lastly is a creamy body milk from Julep. I had gotten this in a Julep Box, when I used to subscribe to Julep. I was really impressed with this product and was a bit sad when it was all used up.
Smell Test: soft and clean, perfect for right after a shower
Feel Test: skin absorbed the body milk and left it moisturized without feeling greasy
Packaging Test: easy squeeze tube, allowed me to utilize every last bit
Buy Again: Since I'm no longer a Julep subscriber, I'll probably never buy this again. BUT - everything is always subject to change and were I to join again, I'd definitely look into buying.

Love the look of the kbshimmer mani shot :D x
ReplyDeleteMe too! I hope this one was just a fluke due to the fractures in the packaging.
DeleteWell done on the empties! Do consider linking up to my Beauty Empties link party; closes on June 5th - I'm the only linker so far, sob, sob :(
ReplyDeleteJust did! :) how often do you do them? I try to do a 3 empties post in between polish posts. I have a basket full of empties I need to catch up on.
DeleteLove empties posts! I like KBShimmer mani bombs, but have had the same packaging issues as you!
ReplyDeleteThis was the only one. I checked the others I bought & all were non-fractured. I will have to try another and see how it goes.
DeleteI love the KBShimmer mani shots, and used to have to buy 4 of them to load up a bathtub. SO happy that she has come up with BIGGER sized ones for the tub! <3
ReplyDeleteI saw that too! :) Great idea!
DeleteI have heard nothing but great things from Mani Shots... but while I love KB Shimmer, I haven't tried it yet so I need to get one. They sound great.
ReplyDeleteI had also only heard great things, so I'm hoping this was just a 1 time issue. I have another one on deck to try out this weekend. :)
DeleteLooks like a good roundup. :) Sorry the mani shot was a miss for you. That hand scrub sounds amazing, it's probably my favorite of the three things here.
ReplyDeleteNothing is as satisfying as empty containers! I go through SO much hand care stuff each month!
ReplyDeleteThat mani shot looks fun! :-D
ReplyDeleteI love the hand scrub from Nails Redesigned and I'll like to try the KBShimmer mani shot some time. I hope the other shots work out for you.
