Well Nails Review & Giveaway

Greetings & Nailutations!

I have a treat today…all the way from Denmark!  Well Nails which can be purchased here.  I won a fantastic giveaway on instragram from Well Nails & she was kind enough to send a second set for me to giveaway!  I absolutely LOVED the two she sent me because I love dark colors that have a surprise in it and it was my first polish that I could capture the glow!  Yes, one is glow in the dark!

First is Legen- and it is a gorgeous silky blue-teal with a shimmery glitter in it.  Formula was great in application and 1 coat was opaque, but I did 2 coats for good measure with a super glossy top coat.

The second is called The North Pole is a Real Place and it is a beautiful white shimmery glitter topper.  I initially put it on a skittle mani to show the pretty glitter, but realized it glowed & had to do a follow up mani to spotlight the glow!

Notice it is glowing just in regular light!  I exposed it to the kitchen light for ~30 seconds.
Then I changed the camera settings to low light & this is the result.
Finally I went into the bathroom (mostly dark) & kept the settings on low light.  I could not focus if I didn't keep it on low light, but this puppy GLOWS!

Overall, I was really pleased with this polish.  Formula was smooth & application easy.

Pros: great formula, beautiful color, strong glow, I definitely want more!
Cons: this indie line is out of Denmark and she does ship to US, but international shipping never comes cheap (I guess this isn't a con for people of Denmark).  For future purchases - the best way to minimize the shipping cost is to combine orders with a fellow polish addict.  Pssst….anyone interested? Hint hint.

Now onto the best news!  This was a giveaway I won & she sent an extra set for another giveaway!  YAY!  And because she is from Denmark & shipped this all the way to me in the US, I am making this giveaway international (to all countries/locations that can receive polish).

Rules:
Your mailing address must be able to receive polish (there are countries that do NOT allow polish, please do your homework).
Must be 18+ (no exceptions)
Because it is international, I cannot be responsible for any holding fees or customs issues (I have shipped internationally before & had no issues, so I'm crossing my fingers on this one).  If it turns out well, I will open more of my giveaways internationally.
Ends at the start of the New Year EST.

Beginnail's Sunday Six

Greetings and Nailutations!

This week I am introducing the Sunday Six!  What is the Sunday Six?  It is my favorite 6 nail art manicures I did in the last week (or favorite manicures if there was not time to do nail art).  Usually there are nail art challenges to help inspire with different themes.  I do my nails A LOT….and I mean A LOT.  I swatch polish for reviews and I also enjoy doing nail art to quench my creativity thirst.  Working in a technical field, there isn't a lot of time to be creative.

So, let's get to it!

Theme was Christmas Lights, so I decided to create a look that showed my favorite part of holiday lights - the outline of tree branches shown by the lights in the darkness.

This theme was Christmas Trees and I decided to do a rainbow ombre effect with the ornaments.  Each year your tree will look different, just like every family is different in how they celebrate the holiday.

This theme was gingerbread men & I made some cute cookies.

Used a new indie polish (love white glitter crellies) and Winstonia Plate W102 to add flashy pink snowflakes.

Using Winstonia Plate W102, the theme of snowman was easy.  I just added a scarf, eyes, carrot nose, mouth & earmuffs to jazz him up.

Theme of pattern, I used (yes, you guessed it) Winstonia Plate W102 making a tree pattern & holly.  I will definitely get my use out of W102 for the season.

I hope you enjoyed seeing them as much as I enjoyed creating them.

Dainty Digits Holo Galaxy Set I Review & Instagram Giveaway

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Blogger Package* The blog post today is reviewing the "new kid on the block", Dainty Digits Polish.  Dainty Digits Polish (DDP) is still in it's toddler stage, just starting in August of this year & can be purchased here Dainty Digits Polish.  I tried out 7 holo polishes from the Galaxy I Mini Set and was BLOWN away.  I swatched each color & didn't want to remove them to try the next!  I ended up using a few for some nail art, which I also will include in the photos.  I believe DDP will be the next up and coming polish that everyone will be setting their calendars for release dates!  Dainty Digits is open to taking risks in colors for holo polishes and it has all paid off.  I have already ordered more holos & some of her other products to test & review.

I was so happy with the set, I ordered a 2nd set with my own money as a giveaway, details below, but first lets get to some swatches!  Most of my photos are taken in my lightbox which filters the light so the holo hides, but I took photos of each polish in my kitchen light which makes the holo hit you in the face! BAM!

The first holo I swatched was a dark blue called Wish Upon A Star.  It is so beautiful even in the filtered light!  Then you throw it under the right light/sun light & it explodes in holo yumminess!

The next holo was a golden yellow (which is my favorite color & I had been eyeing this one for a while) called Sunshine N' Lollipops.  Since it is my favorite color I have plenty of photos to show it off.

The third holo is a slick silver called Milky Way.  It is so clean, it made for a great nail art back drop.

I added some tree patterns, and an accent nail of holly & strips.  I used Winstonia Plate W102 for this design.

Next up is a hot red holo called Mercury Sunrise.  This one also had a twinkle in the filtered light box.  I love a dark holo that still sparkles in filtered light.

I used Nailz Craze Plate NC2.

The fifth holo swatched is a beautiful soft purple called Jumpin' Jupiter Flash.  I was so in love with this one, I had to do a teaser on Instagram.

I used Winstonia Store plate W102 for the snow flakes & a charm from Daily Charme.

Next up is an electric green called Earth Angel.  It is so edgy and flashy, this also made for a cute back drop to nail art.

Last is a mysterious black holo called Black Hole Sparkle.  I had been waiting to try a black holo and I fell in love with it as it it up with sparkly holo goodness.

Pros: gorgeous colors, great price, wonderful customer service - discounts for nail technicians!
Cons:  With this set, I have no cons or areas for improvement and am looking forward to the next blog review!

I absolutely love all the holos from this set and can't wait to see what else is in store from Dainty Digits Polish!  I love it so much I purchased an extra set for a winner on Instagram.  To win you will just need to repost the image that has all the swatches from this set, be following me (@beginnails) & also Dainty Digits Polish (@dainty_digits_polish) and hashtag #begindaintygalaxy1giveaway.  Additional details can be found on my instagram account.
