October Polish Pick Up: KBShimmer Strawberries and Cream Sugar Scrub

Today I am sharing with you one of the contributions from KBShimmer for Polish Pick Up and Indie Pick Up!  Stop back tomorrow for the 2nd item!  The theme this month is Animation and KBShimmer was inspired by a childhood favorite of Strawberry Shortcake (I remember watching this as well!).  KBShimmer created a Strawberries and Cream Sugar Scrub!

Brand Description:  Red and cream swirled scrub featuring a sprinkle of biodegradable glitter on top.  Notes of ripe and juicy strawberries are the top note of this sugar scrub, with notes of fresh whipped cream appearing in the background.  The pure sweetness of sugar almost has me seeing macerated berries atop a dessert.  

The sugar granularity is fine, not super coarse, which I love for hands - gentle yet rough enough to exfoliate my delicate aging skin.  

Here is a quick before and after - before you can see the dryness on my nails and cuticles.  I used a scoop of scrub and worked it through my fingers and over my nails.  It wasn't too oily and left my skin and nails looking fabulous!

Loves:  The inspiration brought on so much nostalgia.  My sisters and I are all within 4 years of each other and we loved all the Strawberry Shortcake characters and their little pets.  I mean who doesn't need a little pink cat with polk-a-dots named Custard?  Aside from the inspiration, the smell is sweet and light and fruity.  Perfect way to end the summer and hot weather we have been having here in Arizona.

Wishes: I kind of want a Strawberry Shortcake inspired collection - Huckleberry Pie, Orange Blossom, Plum Pudding...etc.
