Red Eyed Lacquer's Spring Collection: If You're Good, Life Is Good

Greetings and Nailutations!

Today I am sharing the Spring Collection from Red Eyed Lacquer inspired by Matilda the movie called If You're Good, Life Is Good.  This is a 7 piece collection and you can buy everything as a package deal, just the polishes as a package deal, or select the ones you adore!

First up is My Mommy Thinks They're Sweet, a pale pink inspired by Matilda's classmate Amanda who was caught wearing adorable pigtails.  The creme formula was nice and self-leveled.  Photos show 3 thin coats with a glossy top coat.

Next is Hey Dip Face, Eat A Carrot, a pale soft orange inspired by Matilda's brother throwing a carrot at her face, which ends up back in his own face!  The creme formula was all similar in the collection and photos show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.

Then there is the gentle pale yellow called I'm Big, You're Little inspired by Matilda's dad....when Matilda "helped" dye his hair (let's just say it didn't go as planned for him).  :)  Photos show 3 thin coats with a glossy top coat.

Thanks For Not Telling is inspired by Matilda's friend Lavender placing a newt in the water pitcher.  Thanks For Not Telling is a pale lavender.  Photos show 3 thin coats with glossy top coat.

There's Fish Fingers In The Microwave is a pale green glitter crelly with purple, pink, blue, and orange glitters.  It is inspired by Matilda's mother's outrageous outfits.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

And of course I had to mattify it!

The last polish in the polish portion of the collection is 1972 Olympics inspired by Trunchbull's sweatsuit.  It is a light grey with gun metal micro flakies.  This polish is a 1-coater!  I did put on 2 coats for the photos with a glossy top coat.

And with a matte finish...

The last product rounding out the collection is Red Eyed Lacquer's Da-Balmer  in My Little Bumblebee scent, which is described as Oatmeal Milk and Honey.  This was my first experience with Da-Balmer and I was really happy.  The formula is nice and hydrating and the scent is soft and sweet.

Loves:  I'm going to be honest - I'm not a pastel person, but this collection with the pale pastels really made me love them.  The pale yellow works as a great off white if I am looking for a palette cleanser and it's just a fun collection that will make wonderful base shades to nail art. I love the inspirations - I won't admit how many times I have seen the movie *cough over 15 cough*....we will skip over that.  :)  I am really impressed by the De Balm-er formula too!  It wasn't greasy and quickly absorbed into my skin.

Wishes: When I was opening up the collection I was thinking to myself - "oh, this is like really bleached pastels!"  The only colors I was missing was blue and green to get the full rainbow effect.  So if I was going to be selfish and wish for any additions, it would be a light blue and a light green.

  3. I WISH I could wear pale yellows, they just don't look nice with my skin tone but I love the way I'm Big, You're Little looks!
