Rogue Lacquer - Spring Punk Debut Collection AND GIVEAWAY

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Samples and Purchases*
There is a new indie on the block by the name of Rogue Lacquer.  The owner, Rachel is local to me and I was able to shop her collection before it went on sale!  And as an added bonus, she included an extra set for me to giveaway to a lucky winner!  Rachel previously created polish for Ever After and decided to venture out on her own after moving across the country away from head quarters.  She is debuting her own brand with a steam punk inspired collection called Spring Punk!  Best part is that she is making polish and wax!

Let's get to the swatches!
The collection consists of 4 polishes with different finishes.  She also created a wax loaf that goes along with the theme as well!

I'll start with the wax review.  Her wax is made with soy-based wax and contains essential and scent oils.  The Steam Punk Wax Loaf is 13.5-15 oz and comes in 3 scents.  It has adorable little gears embedded in the loaf.  (A gem stone wax loaf is also available in the same scents as below.)

  • Just Peach - fruity blend of peach, tangerine and grapefruit (this is the scent I purchase and I absolutely love it on cold)
  • Carnival Confections - cotton candy with sweet marshmallow with a hint of vanilla
  • Private Beach - blackberry, sand, sea spray, magnolia and jasmine with notes of mandarin
There will also be smaller sizes of wax for purchase as Wax Bark which is 4 oz in the same scents as mentioned above.

Now let's get to the Spring Punk Collection!  It consists of 4 polishes all in different finishes.

First up is Retro Future which is a minty turquoise crelly with copper, silver, bronze and gold flakies. photos show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

And because this has flakies, I had to mattify it.

Next polish in the collection is Steam Punk Fantasy.  Steam Punk Fantasy is a lavender polish with strong copper shimmer.  This one I want to wear all the time, it's so soft and pretty.  Photos show 2 coats with glossy top coat.

I wanted to see the shimmer in the matte finish and adore it!

My favorite of the collection is Grind My Gears.  It is described as a bronze gold with crimson shimmer, micro holographic glitter and holographic sparkle.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish of the collection is called Blowing Off Steam.  It is a blue gray/grey crelly with silver flecks, holographic and blue shimmer.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

And with matte finish.

I also did some nail art with these amazing polishes!

Loves:  I love that all the finishes are different - so there is something for everyone.  The shades and colors are unique.  This debut collection is really a hit and I love that she is pairing wax with the theme.

Wishes:  Oh my, I can't wish for anything else in this collection!  I can't wait to see what the future holds for Rogue Lacquer.

Glossy Top Coat - Dream Polish Gem Glam Top Coat
Matte Top Coat - Heather's Hues Heart of the Matter

  7. Ok, so I'm not really a wax person in general, but I have to say this wax, complete with the gears, has really wowed me! Sure, the polishes are impressive- I expect nothing less from Rachel, but it says a lot that even I like the wax!
