Pug Posse Nail Lacquer - Pug Love Collection Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
I'm back with the second Pug Posse Nail Lacquer debut collection releasing today!  This collection contains 5 polishes of different finishes - there are 2 satin shimmers, 2 flaky metallics and a flaky glitter bomb/topper.

Now let's get to the swatches!

I will start with the gorgeous shimmers.  Aiko's Unicorn is a soft pinky coral with tons of golden shimmer.  The first thing I noticed is that the shimmers had so much shimmer, they almost had a golden glow to them.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat

The second shimmer of the collection is The Supervisor, a soft lavender with golden shimmer galore. Again, in the light, this polish almost illuminated.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Hugo's Gun Walk is a grey metallic polish with flakies.  As with all flakies, I had to see it with a matte top coat too.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

The second metallic polish is The Olive Cafe and it is a stunning unique shade of olive.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

The last polish can be used as a topper or on it's own.  It is called Poppy Cakes and is filled with white matte flakies and shimmer.  I have 1 coat over China Glaze White on White (pointer), Strawberry Champagne (middle finger), Grenade (ring finger) and then 3 coats on it's own (pinky).  It's shown topped with a shiny top coat.

Loves:  I love that there are different finishes and shades in this collection.  They are soft and cohesive.  I simply adore that the shimmers glow and I love the look of the metallics with  matte top coat.

Wishes:  I hope I see more shimmers and metallics from Michelle, owner of Pug Posse, she really knows how to do them!

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails

  1. These are definitely soft and delicate but I need a bit less frost.

    1. lol, inside my head I made a joke about how you prefer "anti-freeze" polish. I have issues.

  2. The brand name gives me a good giggle. Pretty colors, some are a little too frosty for me tho.
