Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Kristi Swatch and Review and Giveaway
Greetings and Nailutation,
Today I am sharing a polish that is super special to me. This polish is from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer and her newest collection contains 4 collaboration lacquers with bloggers she works with. So let me introduce you to Kristi, named after yours truly!
Let's get to some swatches!
When Jenn from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer asked me what I wanted for my own polish, I asked her to duplicate her holiday polishes (Eve and Noelle), a gold and silver glitter bomb but make Kristi a black holographic glitter bomb. It was super easy to work with Jenn and she kept me up to date on the status and checked in with me every so often. When Kristi arrived, I was so happy and pleased with the result.
So, meet Kristi, she is a black holographic glitter bomb in a clear base. Formula is perfect and I placed two coats over a black undie and a shiny top coat. I also swatched it on it's own and it required 3 thin coats for total opacity.
I also did some nail art with it over a base of Pure Nail Polish Innocence and Love Angeline tribal vinyls and topped with shiny top coat.
Kristi, along with 3 other blogger collaborations are available now! They will be $8.50 and are available online (store link below).
GIVEAWAY will be on my instagram account! Check #BNDHKristiGiveawayrules for the rules (which should be live January 13th!)
Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com
Loves: easy to work with, great result, wonderful formula!
Wishes: I now wish I had my hands on the rest of the blogger collection! WOW, there is a purple that makes me weak in the knees!

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Winter Holiday Collection Swatch and Review
Greetings and Nailutations,
*Blogger Package*
Today I'm sharing the gorgeous Winter 2014 Collection from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. Think sparkle....and well, more sparkle! These are all available now in her store.
Now let's get to some swatches!
Shiny Top Coats: Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish (Summer Melon scent) from www.dreampolish.com
Loves: 1-coater polishes are always amazing! In addition, the fact that the glitter bombs only needed 2 coats to get full coverage is a feat on its own. Daily Hues is 5-free so it doesn't contain 5 of the nasties that can be in polish. Formulas were all perfect and easy to work with.
Wishes: I wish I could paint my house in the color of Noelle....but the HOA would probably get mad.

Today I'm sharing the gorgeous Winter 2014 Collection from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. Think sparkle....and well, more sparkle! These are all available now in her store.
Now let's get to some swatches!
First up is Carol, a red holographic polish. Carol was so pigmented and creamy that it had complete coverage in 1 coat (I did 2 out of habit). Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
Next is Holly, a green holographic polish. Formula was same as Carol and this polish I did only do 1 coat and got complete coverage. Photos show 1 coat with shiny top coat.
Eve is next, a silver holo glitter bomb. Eve was so dense with glitter that it only took 2 coats to get complete opacity. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat in both filtered light and simulated sunlight.
Lastly is Noelle, a gold holo glitter bomb. Noelle also took only 2 coats to get complete coverage. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat in both filtered and simulated light.

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Winter Collection Swatch and Review Part 2
Greetings and Nailutations,
*Blogger Package*
This is the second part of the Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Winter Collection (Part 1). The collection continues with some really interesting and beautiful colors with hidden shimmer.
Now let's get to some swatches!
First up is Stella, a light brown polish with some hidden shimmer! In filtered light Stella looks like a calm brown that is a perfect neutral and then in the simulated sunlight you see aqua shimmer (it almost gives it an iridescent look). Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
Next is Harper, a dark black with more hidden shimmer! In simulated sunlight Harper highlights blue and purple shimmer. I loved the dark vampy look of this color. Formula was smooth and creamy. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
The last is Savannah....my favorite of these 3. Need a gold in your collection? Or rather an antique gold? This color is like nothing else I have (which is why I loved it). Great formula to work with. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
Shiny Top Coats: Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish (Summer Melon scent) from www.dreampolish.com
Loves: Daily Hues is 5-free so it doesn't contain 5 of the nasties that can be in polish. Also remember that these polishes come in both glossy and matte finish. I love that I don't have anything like Savannah. Formula on all these three were perfect just like the previous three!
Wishes: Love that this collection is different than most winter collections...matte/glossy and colors that push the typical "winter" collection palette. I wouldn't change a thing.

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Winter Collection Swatch and Review Part 1
Greetings and Nailutations,
*Blogger Package*
This is the first of two parts for the Daily Hues Nail Lacquer Winter Collection (I will also have her Winter Holiday Collection as well). The collection contains muted darks (work appropriate) in glossy or matte finish. The collection is perfect for nail art bases as well!
Now let's get to some swatches!
First up is Violet, a lovely soft purple-lavendar. Violet has some blue shimmer to it and a satin finish. Formula was easy to work with and applied evenly. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
Next is Ivy, which as the name suggests is a pale forrest green. Ivy contains green shimmer and also has a satin finish. Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.
The last polish for today is Charlotte, a shimmery orange-maroon-brown color....or if you will terra-cotta. This was my favorite out of these three reviewed. I love the color and the shimmer - and that the color can be worn all year. Formula was creamy and perfect.
These colors aren't too bright and make a great base for nail art (I'll be posting some nail art on my instagram account with these three). Formulas were all perfect. It's also nice that they come in two finishes.
Wishes: Love that this collection is different than most winter collections...matte/glossy and colors that push the typical "winter" collection palette. I wouldn't change a thing.

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 45
Greetings and Nailutations,
Hello! It was a very slow week in the mani department. I was feeling un-inspired and was really busy at work (it was fall break and most of my group at work was on vacation). Luckily I had plenty of manis from the weeks before to post on my instagram account (@BeginNails). This weekend I was able to get my creative juice flowing and can't wait to post some of the manis I've created over the next week or two.
Now let's get to my Sunday Six...favorite manis of the week.
This first one I used CDB Lacquer's Time Warp as the base and stamped on some fishnets to pay homage to Dr. Frank-N-Furter using MoYou's Bridal Plate 06 and then topped it all with Dream Polish's Ultra Wax (Matte) Top Coat in the scent of Honey Almond.
The next mani is a subtle galaxy nail design using Elsa from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer. I used a white striper to add stars and topped it all with Kitty Polish Ocean Mist scented top coat.
One of my favorite swatches is Vintage Jumpsuit from Drip Drop Nail Paint with matte top coat. It looks so soft. I love purples, and this is a purple jelly and one must mattify all jellies!
This next mani, I used Cold Concrete from GG Indie Polish, which is a great color for fall. I then added a stamp using Winstonia Plate 112 and topped it all with Dream Polish Ultra Wax (Matte) Top Coat. This one turned out fun!
Another favorite was a swatch of this vampy maroon color with wonderful flakies. This is Ghost of Banquo from Pahlish, which was part of my October A Box, Indied subscription box. Top coat here is Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.
The last favorite of the week is a mani using lightening bolt Nail Vinyls, along with Rainbow Heart and Courageous Thunder both from Yume Lacquer. Top coat used here was HK Girl.
And those are my favorites! Which one do you like best?

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 44
Greetings and Nailutations,
I didn't do my nails as much this week so most of my manis posted to instagram were done a week or 2 ago. I don't consider it "cheating"....I consider it my "bank of manis" to utilize when I'm busy. :) haha!
Here they are!
This first one, I used Piccadilla Circus from Amazing Chic Nails in a gradient over a nude, then I topped it all with 10 Downing Street, also from Amazing Chic Nails. I can't wait to re-create this for "fall" colors using orange or red or a brown!
Next mani is from my review of Born Pretty Store Embossed Nail Stickers, which I used as a stencil instead of a sticker. I love the pattern it created and this one is my favorite of the week. I really want to re-create this with a color gradient or glow in the dark underneath!
Next mani was for another review of Born Pretty, but using their nail foils instead. I used Keely from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer to go with the gold nail foils.
Next mani is also using two Daily Hues Nail Lacquer polishes. I also used Chevron Decals to help guid the fun tips (from Nails Redesigned).
Using Liquid Frosting colors, I did a dotticure with Diabolically Demure (grey), Pretty Pink Bikini (pink) and Piper Chapman (orange). I didn't think the colors would work together, but sometimes you just have to go for it!
Which one is your favorite?

Born Pretty Store Product Review: Feathers, Foil and Stickers
Greetings and Nailutations,
*Press Sample*
Today I have the my first half of some Born Pretty Store goodies! Born Pretty Store carries a variety of goods ranging from nail art to watches to clothing accessories and much more. Remember to use code: DGJ61 for 10% off any purchase from Born Pretty Store. All orders are always shipped free, but expect on average 2 1/2 weeks shipping time.
First item I played with is Fantasy Holo Nail Foils (item: 12413) and the Holo foil comes in a variety of colors and patterns. I have never had a lot of luck with foil. I do have special foil glue (which reminds me of rubber cement) and it seems to only pick up parts of the foil. I decided to use a turquoise holo as an undie and then used the holo as an "accent" to the swatch. It almost looks like a splatter mani. Photo shows 1 coat of Keely from Daily Hues Lacquer and a shiny top coat.
The next item was a sheet of Embossed Textured Metal Style 3D Nail Sticker (item: 5659). What I loved about this product is that it could be used in 2 ways. 1) a nail sticker to enhance a mani 2) a nail vinyl to paint over it and remove to create a pattern. I used Toga! Toga! Toga! from Colors by Llarowe and Rimmel black as well as a shiny top coat.
The last item for this post is the fun, the light, the FEATHER (item: 160)! Feathers are a great way to add some fun to a mani. They come in a variety of colors and they are relatively easy to apply as long as you have a small set of scissors. I applied 2 feathers over 2 nails over Milky Ways from Lime Crime and topped with a shiny top coat.
Loves: I loved being able to utilize the Embossed stickers in two ways, which makes them so versatile. I also loved working with the feathers. Great products, easy to use and affordable prices.
Wishes: I wish the Foil was a little easier to use. I'd love to do a whole mani in a holo foil. I have tried all the tutorials on how to ensure to get whole nail coverage and none of the techniques seem to work for me.
