Envy Lacquer Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I'm reviewing a brand new indie!  Envy Lacquer, owned by Melody, has been in the making for quite some time.  She has been working on perfecting formula and finishes.  I have enjoyed watching the progress and hearing the updates.  Melody sent me 4 polishes that will be available on April 24th when her shop officially opens!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Pacific Blue 421 which is a perfect blue creme and a close dupe to Sally Hansen's Pacific Blue (original formula).  Sally Hansen changed the formula of their beloved original Pacific Blue and the public response was unhappy with the new color and formula.  Envy Lacquer has taken on the challenge of creating a dupe and got pretty dang close!  See comparison where 1 coat of Sally Hansen Pacific Blue is used on pointer/middle and 1 coat of Pacific Blue 421 from Envy Lacquer is on ring/pinky.  Shiny top coat is used on all.

As you can see, Envy's version is a touch darker, but personally, I have to say her formula is better than the Sally Hansen version!  One coat went on completely opaque.  Aside from the color difference, another difference is that Envy Lacquer Pacific Blue dries to a waxy finish.  Photos show 1 coat with shiny top coat.

Next up is That 70's Glow, a golden shimmer polish that can be used on it's own or as a glitter topper to bring a sparkly flair to any color.  That 70's Glow is a golden shimmer polish with the occasional holographic gold hex and square in a few sizes.  Photos show 4 coats to get an opaque look with shiny top coat as well as 1 coat bushed on over Pacific Blue 421 topped with shiny top coat.

Envy is up next and my absolute favorite!  This teal green glitter jelly filled with holographic micro glitter and small hexes.  When this polish hits the right light....WOW!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish is Jenn's Haunted Mansion, which is a purple glitter jelly.  Jenn's Haunted Mansion contains rainbow holographic dust, turquoise-blue-lavender iridescent micro bar glitter, and black and purple glitter shards.  This polish has a lot going on in it and with the rainbow dust, my camera had a hard time focusing.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (2nd, 3rd and 4th photos) and matte top coat (5th and 6th photos).

Loves: The first thing I fell in love with is the logo.  It's a drop of polish with a fancy E (for Envy)...it's elegant and classy and on the mini bottles, absolutely adorable!  Then when I started swatching, I fell in love with the formulas!  The creme on Pacific Blue 421 is absolutely perfection, the ease of the glitter jellies also made it such a nice easy swatch session.  I also love love love the color and finish of Envy!

Wishes: I have a couple wishes.  I hope and wish Envy Lacquers create more superb one-coater cremes like Pacific Blue 421.  I also hope she creates more polishes like Envy in different colors!

Head to her instagram page or store to find out all the other colors she has releasing!  Which one are you most excited about?
