Sincerely Polish Once Upon An Enchanted Night Part 2 Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have the second half of the Once Upon An Enchanted Night Collection from Sincerely Polish.  As a reminder this collection is based off the Disney Princess who enjoys a good dance, but has a midnight curfew.  I'll be sharing the last 3 of the 6 from the collection.

Now let's get to some swatches.

The first polish is Wicked Stepmother, which is my favorite of the entire collection!  Wicked Stepmother is a deep purple-maroon jelly with turquoise small hexes and medium circles as well as light micro glitter.  I love this polish in shiny and matte top coat!  Photos show 2 coats with shiny (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd and 4th photos).

Next is So This Is Love, a white glitter crelly.  So This Is Love contains light blue, gold and turquoise small and micro glitter as well as light blue hearts.  Photos show 3 coats with shiny top coat.  I recommend leaving it upside down to get the hearts to fall towards the top to minimize glitter fishing.

The last polish is Perfect Fit, a perfect look of glass on your fingertips!  Perfect Fit is a white, iridescent with pink shimmer polish.  This polish will be a perfect shimmer effect over a dark color or just on it's own!  I used 3 coats on it's own with shiny top coat.  Usually I don't like visible nail line, but Cinderella showed her little toes in those glass slippers, so I decided to let it show too!

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com and HK Girl Top Coat from www.glistenandglow.com

Loves: One of my favorite Disney Princesses and I was so happy with the collection.  I REALLY loved Wicked Stepmother.  Formula was absolutely perfect for these 3 polishes and application was a breeze.  Did you know Sincerely Polish is doing a different collection for each Disney Princess?  What a great way to commemorate your favorite!  And as always Sincerely Polish is cruelty free and 5-free, so it doesn't contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that can be in a lot of main stream polish.

Wishes: Wouldn't change anything about this collection!

Sincerely Polish Once Upon An Enchanted Night Part 1 Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have half of the Once Upon An Enchanted Night Collection from Sincerely Polish.  This collection is based off a popular Disney Princess who wears glass slippers and drives in pumpkins.  The collection consists of 6 polishes and today I'll be sharing 3.

Now let's get to some swatches.

First up is Cinderelly, a light blue, crelly with holographic glitter.  This polish has has almost a metallic effect to it and would pick up the light with the holo glitter.  Formula was creamy and easy to apply.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Midnight Rendezvous, a black glitter crelly.  Midnight Rendezvous contains small and micro holo glitters of blue, purple, silver, turquoise, and bronze.  In the simulated sunlight it is absolutely stunning!  I love dark colors with glitter, so this is hands down my favorite of these three.  Formula applied perfectly and photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish to share today is Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue.  Bibbidi Bobbidi Blue is a glitter bomb containing light blue and silver holo small and micro glitter.  This polish can be opaque in 3 coats.  Photos below show 2 coats over Cinderelly with shiny top coat in filtered light and simulated sunlight.

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com and HK Girl Top Coat from www.glistenandglow.com

Loves: One of my favorite Disney Princesses and I was so happy with the collection (wait until you see the other half too!).

Wishes: I am really loving the combinations that come out of Sincerely Polish's color lab.  There are so many options in her store if you are looking for a crelly, jelly or glitter topper.

Smokey Mountain Lacquers Halloween Collection Sampling Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have 2 of the 4 polishes from the Smokey Mountain Lacquers Halloween Collection.  The Halloween Collection contains 4 polishes: orange jelly, green jelly, black glitter jelly and a black glitter topper.  You can purchase them individually in full size or as a set in mini size.  They release Tuesday September 16th.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up Boogie Man, a bright juicy green jelly.  It reminds me of a green granny smith apple!  (I scare easily so I have to compare it to happy things and not scary things.)  Formula was perfect and smooth.  Here photos show 3 coats for total opacity topped with a shiny top coat.

The second polish is called Night Of The Grim and is a black glitter topper.  Night Of The Grim contains black hexes, black holo micro glitter, black bars and black skull and crossbones.  I used it over some Halloween colors (Piper Chapman from Liquid Frosting, Boogie Man and a Jenna Hipp Purple).  Photo shows 2 coats dabbed on with skull placement and shiny top coat.  Skulls required minimal fishing because bottle was left upside down 30 minutes prior to using.

Loves:  Love the green jelly, it will definitely be used in the future for a pond mani and matte top coat.  The color is perfect for Halloween, but also spring, summer and winter holiday manis.  Glitter topper has a pop of sparkle with the holo glitters and I love all the different shapes.  Formula for both were great and of course Smokey Mountain Lacquers are 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that an be in polish.

Wishes:  I wish we could wear Halloween manis all the time!

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 41

Greetings and Nailutations,

Another week of nail art in the books!  I have quite a few nail art photos stored in my phone so I'm able to release a photo or two a day when I'm on vacation.  I spent 3 days of this last week in Palm Springs, California and it was nice to take some time to re-charge.

Here are my favorite 6 manis of the week (posted to Instagram).

This first mani, I used Amazing Chic Nails School Uniform and a white nail art pen to draw on leopard print.

The next mani, I used Waves N' Sandcastles from Candied Apple Polish and MoYou London stamping plate Princess 14 along with Teal from Polish Pusher to color in the butterflies.

This mani shows Gia as the base and Keely (both from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer) used with Nail Shields from Love, Angeline Polish.

Here is another mani where I used Nail Shields from Love, Angeline and Farrah and Cicely both from Daily Hues Nail Lacquer over black.

Daily Hues Nail Lacquer received a lot of love this week.  This mani is using Farrah, Caitlyn and Ariana in a water marble topped with China Glaze Fairy Dust.

The last mani was using Blameless from Pure Nail Lacquer over black with MoYou London Princess Plate 10.

Which is your favorite?  My two favorites are the butterfly stamping and the star stamping.

Liquid Frosting Diabolically Demure, Piper Chapman and Pretty Pink Bikini Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I have a new-to-me indie brand that sent me some beautiful crelly-cremes.  The brand is called Liquid Frosting.  Liquid Frosting markets itself as 5-free and vegan, and from photos online - creamy, smooth polish.  I was really excited to try this brand!

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Diabolically Demure, a soft gray with a subtle hint of olive to it.  Once I swatched this polish, I wanted to keep it on.  The formula was amazing and applied evenly.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Piper Chapman, a bright orange.  Piper Chapman, of course is named after the main character in the drama Orange Is The New Black (which I just finished watching Season 1 last week!!! OMG).  This creamy orange is inspired by Piper's uniform - something an inmate would wear.  As with the previous polish, Piper Chapman was easy to apply and smooth.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish I have to review is Pretty Pink Bikini, a very pale pink.  This color is a great work place polish if you have to keep it professional and for how light it is, only 2 coats were needed for total opacity.  I actually used this color over Diabolically Demure in a dotticure and it covered great!  Photo shows 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Loves:  FORMULA FORMULA FORMULA - creamy, smooth, perfect!  I loved being able to quickly swatch the polish, have little clean up and extra time to do nail art!  The colors are perfect for a plain mani OR for nail art.  If you need to keep it looking professional in the office Pretty Pink Bikini and Diabolically Demure are perfect!  I personally love the orange, I don't have one that is this bright and pretty in my collection (it surprised me too!).  And let's not forget the fact that Liquid Frosting is 5-free, so it doesn't contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that can be found in nail polish.

Wishes:  I'm excited about this brand and only wish I had tried it sooner!

Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish in the scent of Summer Melon

Which color is your favorite?  I would have to go with the orange, since it's a shade that I don't have in my collection!

First up is Shooting Stars, which a pink glitter crelly.  Shooting Stars contains pink medium hexes, red, lavender, and yellow small hexes, micro hexes in white and of course white mini stars.  You can't have a polish named Shooting Stars without stars!!  What I love about crellies is that they look amazing with both a shiny top coat and matte.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd photo).

Poison Wishes is next in the trio which is a blue-gray glitter crelly.  Poison Wishes contains silver and royal blue holo small glitters and turquoise and white small glitters, white skulls and silver holo stars.  It also comes with an bag of extra skull glitter for glitter placement.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st and 2nd photos) and matte top coat (3rd photo).

Everyone's A Star is the last of the trio and it is a bubble-gum pink glitter crelly.  It contains medium lavender hexes, medium turquoise cirlces, magenta mini stars, small purple hexes and micro magenta and white glitters.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat (1st photo) and matte top coat (2nd and 3rd photos).

Shiny Top Coat is Gloss It from www.kraftygurldesigns.com

Loves:  Pretty color combinations with fun glitter to top it off.  Easy formula to work with and apply.  And of course an added bonus besides being pretty polishes is that they are 5-free and don't contain the 5 of the nasty chemicals that polish can contain.

Beginnails' Sunday Six Week 40

Greetings and Nailutations,

Wow, has it really been 40 weeks of doing my Sunday Six?  I guess time flies when you are having fun.  A few new manis this week that weren't already featured, which are fun, easy and bright!  As summer is heading out, I'm getting in as many sunny manis as I can!

First mani is a sponged on black french mani.  I used a nude base coat from Butter London (which I'm running low on....need to buy another!) and then a makeup sponge to create the tips with Amazing Chick Lacquer's Piccadilly Circus and a shiny top coat.

This next mani I used a polish I hadn't tried it yet.  It is called Mer-Party and is from Forever Polished.  Then I added fuchsia rhinestones from Charmingly Simple Nail Art to accent the fuchsia glitter in the polish and topped it all with a shiny top coat.

This polish was featured earlier in a blog review of Llarowe's A Box, Indied. This gorgeous glitter jelly is called Cosmic Cranberry and I am in love with it.  I want shoes in this color.  :)

The next mani is so bright and fun!  I used four of the CDB Lacquer Fanny Pack Collection to create this look.  I used a make up sponge and also had a white undie to make the colors brighter.

This next mani was from the review for Charmingly Simple Nail Art charms.  I loved the color with this charm.

And this last mani is Wish Upon A Starfish from Drip Drop Nail Paint and two starfish charms from Hex Nail Jewelry.  This polish is so pretty.

That's all my favorites!  Do you have a favorite?

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka @BeginNails
