Glam Paint Lacquer Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
Today I'm sharing several polishes from Glam Paint Lacquer.  Glam Paint Lacquer relaunched this year with focus on thermal polishes.  I was sent 2 holographic glitter thermals, a creme thermal and also a glitter topper.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Ex-tacy, a jelly holographic thermal that is described as changing from black to a soft lime green.  For me, this thermal was very sensitive, so it created a natural gradient.  I was able to get 3 colors, black - brown - tan, with the darker colors peeking out when colder, while lighter colors appear with warmth.  Ex-tacy has great formula and applied easily.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Next is Mad Crush, a deep black-purple to purple holographic thermal.  Mad Crush was also sensitive and required no extra cold or warmth to show the color change.  The darker color shows when in contact with cold, while warmth shows the purple.  This polish did have a few pigment clumps, but overall didn't impact application.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

I was also sent a topper called V.I.P.  V.I.P. can be worn over any color to give it a new look.  It contains golden and green iridescent micro glitters to give dark colors a pop or can be worn over lighter colors for a subtle sparkle.  Photos show 2 coats over Rimmel Black Satin with shiny top coat.

The last polish I have to share is Ocean Drive, a blue grey to tan subtle thermal.  Ocean Drive is creme based and had great easy to apply formula.  It was difficult to capture the color change in this polish.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Loves: I love when thermals are combined with glitter and the use of holographic glitter creates a beautiful look.  I was really impressed with Ex-tacy and Mad Crush and the sensitivity of the thermal change.

Wishes: I wish to see more holographic thermals like Ex-tacy and Mad Crush in colors like pink, red and yellow!

GG Indie Polish Gemstone Jellies Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Sample*
Today I have five polishes from GG Indie Polish (GG = Green Glitter) that are part of the Gemstone Jellies Collection to share.  All the polishes are inspired by gemstones and are jellies of course.  GG Indie Polish ships world wide and is 5 free, so they don't contain any of the 5 harsh chemicals that can be found in some polishes.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Alexandrite, a purple glitter jelly that contain silver holographic glitter in small and micro sizes as well as the occasional mini star.  It builds up from a sheer look of 1-2 coats to a more opaque look of 3 coats.  It applied nicely with great jelly formula.  Photos show 3 coats with shiny top coat (1st, 2nd and 3rd photos) and with matte top coat (4th photo).

Next is Blue Topaz, which is a gorgeous blue glitter jelly.  Blue Topaz contains small, micro and square silver holographic glitters as well as the occasional mini star.  Photos show 2 coats for total opacity with shiny top coat (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th photos) and matte top coat (5th photo).

Peridot is next, a vibrant lime green jelly with holographic silver and green hexes and the occasional star.  Peridot applied easily, like the others.  Photos show 3 coats, which was still quite sheer with shiny top coat (1st, 2nd and 3rd photos) and matte top coat (4th photo).

Quartz is a soft white jelly with silver holographic glitters and mini stars.  Again, the formula was easy to work with and applied evenly.  Photos show 3 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish of the collection is called Rhodolite.  Rhodolite is my favorite!  It is a red-pink jelly with silver and pink holographic hexes and the occasional star.  I love how bright it is!  Photos show 3 coats with shiny top coat (1st, 2nd, 3rd and 4th photos) and matte top coat (5th photo).

Shiny Top Coat: Gem Glam Top Coat from www.dreampolish.com
Matte Top Coat: Polish Matte'rs from www.girlybitscosmetics.com

Loves:  I love that these polishes were jellies because they look amazing with shiny and matte top coats.  My favorites of the collection were Rholodite and Blue Topaz because they were on the darker side and created a truly opaque look.  The formulas on all were perfect and applied great.  All GG Indie Polish products are 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the harsh chemicals that can be found in polish.

Wishes:  The only thing I wish is that the star glitter was more easily attainable.  But not to worry, I believe she is going to include a packet of star glitters for easy glitter placement!

Which one is your favorite?  What other gemstone would make a pretty polish?  Maybe yellow diamonds...or chocolate diamonds??
