On The Way To Cape May Collection from Heather's Hues Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have a fun collection called On The Way To Cape May from Heather's Hues.  This is the second collection I've reviewed for Heather and I was just as pleased with this collection as the last.  As a reminder from the last review, Heather's Hues is hand blended and 5-free so they don't contain 5 of the nasties that nail polish can contain.  This collection contains 5 crellies, 2 jellies and a glitter topper.

Now let's get to some swatches!

First up is Under The Boardwalk.  Under The Boardwalk is a pretty royal blue glitter jelly with turquoise holo hexes, small silver hexes and silver holo micro bars.  I am bummed I forgot to mattify this polish.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

Next is Beach Grass, which is a lovely pearlescent light pastel green crelly.  I was able to somewhat capture the pearly character of it in the kitchen light.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

Sailor's Delight is a wonderful rosy gold, mauve color with gold micro glitters.  This is the perfect work appropriate polish that is creamy and beautiful.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

One of my favorites is Sea Isle Sky.  This is a light blue crelly that has blue micro flakes that makes it shimmer.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

Next is Skinny Dipping, which is a nude crelly with violet shimmy (which I couldn't capture).  This polish is also perfect for work.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

The Lighthouse is the glitter topper of the collection and it combined perfectly with Skinny Dipping.  The Lighthouse contains red squares, black diamonds, silver hexes, iridescent glitter, gold shards and silver bars.  I loved the choices in shapes and colors in this glitter topper.  The formula I received has since been improved upon (mine was a bit thick, but not unmanageable).  Photos show 1 coat dabbed on with slight glitter placement with shiny topcoat.

Next is Sunkissed, which is a yellow crelly with gold micro glitters.  What I really like about this polish is that you can choose whether you want it with or without extra glitters added (neon yellow, banana yellow and goldenrod).  This makes you feel like you are creating your own masterpiece.  The formula on this on was a little thick, but not unworkable.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

Lastly I have my other favorite of the collection a blue jelly with scattered holo glitter.  WOW!  This one amazed me.  I also had to capture a photo with matte topcoat, because I can.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny and matte topcoat.

Loves: as always, Heather has made a cute fun imaginative collection.  She just released that her next collection will be on Disney Princesses.  How exciting!  I also enjoyed the diversity of polish types: crellies, jellies and a glitter topper.  And of course being 5-free is always an added plus!

Wishes: after speaking to Heather, she has informed me of some formula tweaks that were made in The Lighthouse and also that I received the last of the batch of Sunkissed, so it may have had more micro glitter than a typical bottle.  I love when an indie takes feedback and has already fixed the issue.

Fox And Owl Polish Swatch and Review Installment 3

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
This is the last installment for  Fox And Owl Polishes.  Fox And Owl Polish is handmade polish out of Melbourne Australia.  I am a little sad that they are all swatched because I loved looking forward to the fun color combos and great formula.  Now let's get to some swatches.

USE CODE: BEGINNAILS15 to get 15% off order $20+(in AUD) valid thru May 31st.

The first polish is called Neon, Yeah!  This glitter topper in a clear base contains neon pink diamonds, hearts, squares and hexes as well as iridescent glitter.  I placed it over a white crelly.  Photos show 1 coat dabbed on with shiny topcoat.  Perfect summer glitter topper.

Next is a glitter topper called 80's Chick, which has neon yellow, rose gold and iridescent glitter.  I decided to place this one over a dark purple undie to make the iridescent glitter pop.  Photos show 1 coat dabbed on with shiny topcoat.

Ex Oh Ex Oh is a glitter topper in a clear base with micro holo glitter, black, silver and red hexes in several sizes as well as both red and black hearts.  Photos show 1 coat over yellow and mint with slight heart placement with shiny topcoat.

A fun glitter jelly is Dream In Neon, which is a pink jelly.  Black and white rectangle glitter, hexes and holo dust is in this pink jelly.  Photos show 3 thin coats with a shiny topcoat and also a matte topcoat.

Lastly is a glitter topper with one of my favorite shape of circles, Betty.  Betty contains light pink, silver, magenta holo glitters in several sizes as well as hexes.  Photos show 1 coat dabbed on with slight glitter placement and a shiny topcoat.  There was no glitter fishing.

Loves: All Fox And Owl Polishes are 5 free, so they do not contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that can be found in polish.  Another added plus is that there was zero glitter fishing in any of these polishes.  Formulas were great and easy to work with on all.  This set also included a jelly and 4 glitter toppers and I loved these ones just as much as I did the others I reviewed.

Wishes: I would not change a thing on these 5!  :)

Fox And Owl Polish can be bought on Etsy and make sure to follow on instagram (@foxandowlpolish) and Facebook for release dates, photos and sales.  They do ship within Australia and to the U.S.

Fox And Owl Polish Swatch and Review Installment 2

Greetings and Nailutations!

*Press Sample*
This is the second review on Fox And Owl Polishes.  Fox And Owl Polish is handmade polish out of Melbourne Australia.  Now let's get to some swatches.

USE CODE: BEGINNAILS15 to get 15% off order $20+(in AUD) valid thru May 31st.

The first polish is called Minx and is part of the Pastel Collection.  It is a lavender glitter crelly with neon pink squares and hexes in several sizes.  Formula was outstanding and applied evenly and there was zero glitter fishing.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat.

Another polish from the Pastel Collection is called Kitsune.  Kitsune is a white glitter crelly containing both neon pink (diamonds, and several sizes of hexes) and neon yellow (squares and several sizes of hexes) glitters.  I would NEVER think that neon pink and neon yellow would go together (except in the early 90's), but this polish is really stunning.  It's loudly subdued with this neon.  It is part of the Pastel Collection and there are no pastels in it, but yet it works.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny topcoat, again great formula.

Next is Heartless, which is a fun glitter topper.  This fully packed glitter topper is filled with purple hexes, lavender hexes, squares and black hexes and hearts as well as small silver holo glitters.  Photos show 1 coat dabbed on over a lavender undie and a shiny topcoat.

Lastly for this blog is a bright pink glitter jelly called Madness.  Neon pink and silver holo hexes in several sizes are swimming in a neon pink jelly along with some pink hearts.  Photos show 3 thin coats to get complete opacity with both a shiny topcoat and matte topcoat.

Loves: All Fox And Owl Polishes are 5 free, so they do not contain 5 of the nasty chemicals that can be found in polish.  Another added plus is that there was zero glitter fishing in any of these polishes.  Formulas were great and easy to work with on all.  This set also included 2 crellies, a jelly and a glitter topper and I was just as pleased with application as I was on the first blog review.

Wishes: I loved the the color combinations on these 4, the only thing I'd change is to add a bolder color heart to Madness, as I didn't even know there were hearts in it until I pulled the brush out.  SURPRISE! :)

Fox And Owl Polish can be bought on Etsy and make sure to follow on instagram (@foxandowlpolish) and Facebook for release dates, photos and sales.  They do ship within Australia and to the U.S.
