May Polish Pick Up: Ever After Polish There Goes Her Social Life and Beyond and As If Cuticle Crelly

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Press Samples*
Polish Pick Up (PPU) is right around the corner and I'm about to unload some blog posts covering some of the items that will be offered!  If you are new to PPU, it is a shopping experience where a theme is voted on by customers and all brands that offer a product create something around the theme.  This month the theme is 90's.  Today I'm sharing the contributions from Ever After Polish - a polish and Cuticle Crelly both inspired by the movie Clueless.

Let's get to the details!

Miranda is contributing her Cuticle Crelly in the scent of As If.  (Scenes of Cher are in my mind now from Clueless.)  It is described as "Victoria Secrets famous 1990 classic Love Spell, As If is a luscious fusion of citrus, cherry blossom, hydrangea, apple and peach with a hint of blondewood."  As soon as I sniffed it, I felt like I was in high school at the mall all over again.  As a reminder, each order of the Cuticle Crelly comes with a sample size of Cuticle Oil in the same scent!

The next item from Ever After Polish is a gorgeous cherry red jelly with hot pink shimmer, silver holographic and pink micro glitters.  This stunner is called There Goes Her Social Life and is inspired by Cher's red dress mixed with her pink fluffy pen.  It is opaque in 2 coats and photos show a lovely formula with glossy top coat.

Since it is a jelly, I had to mattify it.

I had to dress up the polish with some fabulous stilettos because...I mean, don't you remember all this amazing shoes from the movie?

Glossy Top Coat: Vibrant Vinyls - Fast and Hard (press sample)
Matte Top Coat: Heather's Hues - Heart of the Matter
Stamping Plate: It Girl Nail Art IG112 (press sample)

Loves:  I love that There Goes Her Social Life is a beautiful rosy red with glimmers of pink - which looks amazing on anyone.  I love it both glossy and matte (sparkles get picked up on the glossy and the shimmer gets picked up on the matt).  I love the nostalgia of the scent As If.  I love that Cuticle Crelly has a matte finish, so you can use it right before taking photos and your skin won't look greasy.

Wishes:  I kind of wish for a collection with this theme...like a 90's theme or even Clueless.  I want to see a polish inspired by some of those amazing costumes/outfits!  Plaid, knee high socks, hats and accessories...I won't lie - I wore some of those hats in high school myself and I was sporting plaid pants and then as the grunge era hit (grew up in Seattle area) more plaid as shirts!

As a reminder - all Polish Pick Up products can be purchase on their website May 4th - 7th.  Everything is pre-order and $3 flat rate shipping.  Join their Facebook Group to find out all the details!

  2. I've been wanting some red polish since all I buy from PPU lately is blue and purple. This is a great shade that I know will work with my skintone.

  5. The polish is a beauty! I don't think I would enjoy the cuticle crelly tho, so many girls used to wear that scent I just can't! LOL.

  6. Is blondewood a real thing? Or like a funny play on the Victoria's Secret part of the inspo?

  11. Clueless is the most '90s movie I can imagine. I love it! Also love some Love Spell-scented stuff, I was such a junkie for that.
