December Monthly Awareness Box Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

*Blogger Discount*
Today I have a special post, it is the Monthly Awareness Collaboration Box, where 6 brands create a special polish and 10% of the proceeds of the collaboration goes to a a different cause.  This month's cause is one that we all hear about - I'm sure you have gotten an amber alert on your phone...the cause is National Center For Missing and Exploited Children (NCMEC).  NCMEC is the "nation's clearinghouse and comprehensive reporting center for all issues related to the prevention of and recovery from child victimization..."  NCMEC stands by the truth that "every child deserves a safe childhood."

Let's get to the swatches.

First up is Always On My Mind from All Mixed Up Lacquers.  Always On My Mind is a green scattered holographic polish.  This polish is opaque in 1 coat (I love me a good 1 coater).  Photos do show 2 coats (because I'm anal) with shiny top coat.

Next is a bright purple linear holographic polish from Night Owl Lacquer called Never Lose Hope.  There are some little treats of flakies in this polish as well which are present in the filtered light macro.  I could not believe the holo in the LED light on this polish - WOW!  This polish was also opaque in 1 coat too.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Do you love thermals as much as I do?  Poshlish has created a pink thermal called Help Bring Them Home.  I was actually surprised that this was a thermal and prepped my nails with a nude base coat on 2 fingers and black on the others.  I started swatching and I thought "why does this look different at the tips!?"  Then it hit me - THIS IS A THERMAL!  I was stoked!  It is light pink when warm and bright neon pink when cold.  It also works as a shimmer topper as seen on the middle and ring fingers.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

I love a good red and Pretty Beautiful Unlimited created Stay Vigilant.  Stay Vigilant was opaque in 1 coat with this great creamy formula with stunning holographic flakies.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Sassy Pants Polish created a silky satin finish polish called Buddy System.  This teal shimmering polish was easy to apply and a light hand leaves a great finish.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

The last polish of the box is from Starlight Polish.  This sky blue polish contains micro flakies of iridescent glitters and is called Never Forgotten.  The macro with all the little flakes makes me smile.  Photos show 2 coats with shiny top coat.

Now for the details!

  1. What a wonderful cause. It's great that money is going to a charity each month. The thermal has a color combination that I particularly love. That and Night Owl Lacquer's contribution are what I want.

  2. What a great box concept! Honestly, while I don't NEED any of these, so many of them are super pretty and knowing my money goes to charity, I'm inclined to buy.
