Digit-al Dozen: Get To Know What I Do

Greetings and Nailutations,

It's day number 2 in the Digit-al Dozen Get To Know Me week.  I thought I would do a mani related to my career.  What exactly do I do all day?  Hmmm....good question.  I work at a company that fabricates computer chips, we make them in a super duper clean rooms (people are required to wear clean room suits to protect the product - it's like a big onsie with a hood and face cover).  I've held a few different roles from analyzing the electronic properties of the computer chips, analyzing what chips can be sold and what can be causing them to fail, to figuring out what can be causing issues during processing.  Every day it's some new problem that can be easy to solve or very complex.  While my official title is "Yield Engineer" I prefer to call myself an engi-'nerd.'  :)

Let's get to the mani!

Products used:
Bliss Polish - Secret Groves
Fab Ur Nails - FUN7 Plate
It Girl Nail Art - IG110 Plate (press sample)
Ellagee Polish - Lickity Split Latex Mani Mask (press sample)
Girly Bits Cosmetics - Golden Ticket
Clear Jelly Stamper - stamper (press sample)
Dream Polish - Gem Glam Top Coat (press sample)

I started with Secret Groves (a gorgeous flakie jelly) and stamped with Golden Ticket.  I used a STEM (Science Technology Engineering Mathematics) plate from It Girl Nail Art and the I <3 Nerds image from Fab Ur Nails.  It's all topped with a shiny top coat.

So now you know what I spend 8...9...10, sometimes more hours a day - just depends on what problems I need to tackle.  It's challenging, but very rewarding.  Now you know why I had to add I <3 Nerds, since I call myself an engi-nerd.  What amusing nicknames do you give yourself in your job or your duties/chores?

Happy "nerding"
Kristi aka BeginNails

  2. These are fun! The do have that chip look! My Dad used to work in a place that had rooms like that, that we would see from afar when family got to go into the building!

  5. This is super cute. I just happen to be a nerd married to a nerd, haha, or at least we both joke about that since we are both gamers & web designers/programmers.
