The Nail Challenge Collaborative - Winter Citrus Mani

Greetings and Nailutations!

Continuing with my blog resolutions, I am adding more nail art to my blog.  Today I am sharing a mani for The Nail Challenge Collaborative.  The theme for the month is "winter."  I was trying to think of what winter means in Arizona (a state in the USA that is mostly desert).  November through January is citrus season here!  Our 7 citrus trees are bright and bearing fruit right now (1 lemon, 1 cocktail, 1 grapefruit and 4 orange trees).  (A cocktail tree is a grafted tree where each branch has a different fruit - so there is a branch of navel oranges, grapefruit, lemon, tangerine and lime.)  So, I decided to make a citrus mani!

Now let's get to the mani details!

Products used:

Jenna Hipp: Just One Bite and Creme de Canteloupe
Lemming Lacquer: Mr Million Miles of Fun and Legendary
MPolish: Hottie
Dream Polish: Gem Glam Top Coat and Gem Block Liquid Latex (press samples)
Winstonia: W118 Plate
Clear Jelly Stamper: Stamper and Clean up Brush (press samples)

Although it may not appear as wintry as one would expect - for me, when I smell oranges, I think of winter.  I hope you enjoyed it and get some Vitamin C while you are at it.  :)  And be sure to check out the other winter manis below!

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka BeginNails

  1. I don't see oranges or lemons through our snow but I appreciate this beautiful manicure.

  2. I absolutely love how different your winter is than mine - and I love that you stayed true to that in your manicure! It currently feels like -1F here in Canton, OH with snow on the ground!

  6. I love this! I'm in Florida, so we've got a bunch of citrus too: key limes, kaffir limes, Meyer lemons, grapefruit, calamondins, and tangerines! We've got other fruit trees too, but the citrus trees are the ones we love.

  7. This actually reminded me of the Illamasqua palette in the LF Advent Calendar - the orange polishes in particular. I love your subtle but clear stamping!
