3 Empties: Dream Polish Top Coat, Neutrogena Hand Cream and Fortune Cookie Soap Leave-In Conditioner

Greetings and Nailutations,

It's another installment of 3 empties, where I review 3 products I have used up and express my opinion on how well they worked, how they smelled, their packaging and if I'd make a repeat purchase.

Now let's get to the empties!
The first item is Gem Glam Top Coat from Dream Polish.  This is a mini, which I got in the Mani of The Month Box back in November 2015.

Scent: The scent is Grammy's Treats and let me tell you - this is on of my top 3 scents from Dream Polish.  It smells like fresh sweet cookies with notes of caramel, gingerbread and pumpkin - so delicious!  I've treasured this for such a long time.
Feel: Gem Glam Top Coat dries quickly for me.  I love that I can stamp over it in a relatively quick dry time.
Packaging: mini bottle - I won't complain - it was an amazing scent!
Buy Again: I still have a ton of Gem Glam Top Coats to use!  A whole drawer full!

The next product is one I've used up before - Neutrogena Hand Cream (Norwegian Formula).  My husband and I bought this when we were in Las Vegas last winter and forgot to bring moisturizer.

Scent: unscented, no qualms about that
Feel: this thick formula eases dry skin itchiness and soaks in almost immediately.  My skin instantly feels moisturized and so soft.
Packaging: Easy travel size plastic tube with screw off cap.  Easy to keep in my purse.
Buy Again: YES!  I've bought this at least 3 times now in the last few years.  I do like trying other brands, but when I'm in a bind and at Walgreens - this baby is my GO TO!

Last product is Fortune Cookie Soap Leave-in Conditioner.  I love the leave-in conditioners from FCS - I've been using another one the last few weeks.

Scent: It's in the scent of Buddy (from the movie ELF).  This was part of last winter's collection.  The scent is sweet and is described as "holiday fruit, candy, crushed vanilla and a hint of mint."  I love the scent!
Feel: With just a few spritzes in my hair, I was able to easily run a brush through it after a shower.  It didn't weigh down my hair either.
Packaging: I love the packaging - large spray bottle that never clogged.
Buy Again: unfortunately this scent is no longer sold, but I bought some Rum Butter (smells like butterscotch) conditioner (and shampoo!).

Have you tried any of these products?  How did you feel about them?

Happy Emptying!

  2. The Neutrogena hand cream is sooooo good. Probably one of my favorites. I have literally bought it for years. Perfect to fit the dry hands during the winter.

    1. Agree! I let my mom use it a few times and she almost took off with it! I'm like "woah, lady - don't touch my hand cream!" :)

    1. Oh no! I hope it isn't anything controversial that I'm not aware of.

  7. The Norwegian Formula Hand Cream from Neutrogena is my go-to when the weather is very dry and my hands are chapping. It heals my hands overnight, pretty much!

  8. I dunno if I could handle a scented top coat, but that's a fun concept.

    1. Some really work well, others the scent doesn't mix well with nail varnish scent.

  9. Oh my gosh! I am not a big fan of the movie ELF, but I love when brands come out with products that go along with popular movies. How fun!
