February Mani Of The Month Box Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the February Mani Of The Month box which features products from Heather's HuesNails Redesigned and Northern Star Polish.  February's box had the theme of Bad Romance and it also had a special guest contributor of Savvy Naturalista.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini polish and assorted extra glitter all from Heather's Hues, an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned and assorted products from Northern Star Polish (polish, nail care items and nail art iems).

This box came with gold sparkly heart locks, silver glitter diamond decals and rose stencil vinyls, and rhinestones all from Nails Redesigned, and Northern Star base coat, top coat and cuticle oil in the scent of Decadent Chocolate and a full size thermal from Heather's Hues as well as a mini glitter shimmer polish.  The special guest contributor included 3 huge mani scrubs.

Now let's get to some swatches!
First up is a thermal from Heather's Hues called Walk Of Shame.  Walk of Shame is a deep brown-burgundy glitter crelly that changes to a warm flushed pink when cold.  It contains red hexes and flakes, amber flakies as well as black hexes and gold shimmer.  It was very sensitive and needed little encouragement to show it's change.  Photos show 2 coats with Northern Star Polish Classic Top Coat.

Next is purple shimmer creme called Flowers and Candy Again? from Heather's Hues.  This bright purple contains several shades of purple hexes as well as blue hexes.  Photo show 2 coats on its own (1st through 4th photos) as well as 1 coat over a black undie (5th and 6th photos) with Northern Star Polish Classic Top Coat.

The box also included some nail art items from Nails Redesigned.  The first mani I created using 2 coats of Flowers and Candy Again? from Heather's Hues and added 2 diamond decals and 2 rhinestones all from Nails Redesigned and topped it all with Northern Star Polish Classic Top Coat.

Another mani I created using the rose vinyls from Nails Redesigned is over 1 coat of Flowers and Candy Again? over a black undie.  I love the look of the roses on this mani.  Top coat is of course Northern Star Polish Classic Top Coat which also is fast drying and made using the stencils super easy.

The last mani I created with the golden heart lock decal is over Walk of Shame from Heather's Hues.  I added stamping from Vivid Lacquer 028 Stamping Plate and MPolishes Guilded and topped with Northern Star Polish Classic Top Coat.

Heather's Hues also included some fun glitters perfect for Valentine's Day.  The guest contributor is Savvy Naturalista, which provided 3...yes 3 large solid sugar scrubs.  I used just part of one and it smelled amazing!  It also exfoliated and moisturized my skin and cuticles.

Other Products used:
Black Undie - Drip Drop Nail Paint Yoga Pants
Latex - Nail Jewelry Bling Liquid Nail Tape
Stamper - What's Up Nails Creative Shop Stamper

Loves: I really love the thermal from Heather's Hues, it was sensitive and the formula was amazing.  I really love all the adorable stencils and decals - they were the perfect size and I loved every mani I created with them.  I also love the sugar scrubs - they all 3 smell amazing and I'm excited to try a new brand!

Wishes:  Other than wishing I had posted this blog post earlier?  I wouldn't change a thing!

You can order the Mani Of The Month Box from Heather's Hues, Nails Redesigned and Northern Star Polish!  The contents are always a surprise (however there is now a sneak peak page) and pre-orders quickly sell out.  Be sure to follow them all on Instagram  (@heathers_hues and @nails_redesigned and @northernstarpolish) or their Facebook pages to updates.

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka @BeginNails

    1. Heather's Hues just celebrated 2 years and is a total sweet heart. Sara of Nail Redesigned is great too and met her at an indie shop event a few months ago. Norther Star is new to the box for the last few months and I'm digging her products.

    1. This was my first experience with them. I was so suprised that 1) we got 3! and 2) they are HUUUUGE! I have small hands and nails so 1 will last at least 4-5 uses!
