January Mani Of The Month Box Swatch and Review

Greetings and Nailutations,

Today I have the January Mani Of The Month box which features products from Heather's HuesNails Redesigned and Northern Star Polish.  January's box had the theme of Alice In Winter Wonderland and it also had a special guest contributor of XO Soap Co.  Each box features a full size polish, a mini polish and assorted extra glitter all from Heather's Hues, an assortment of nail vinyl decals and Swarovski crystals from Nails Redesigned and assorted products from Northern Star Polish (polish, nail care items and nail art iems).

This box came with heart stencils and purple glitter tea cup decals and Vanilla Tea Cake cuticle oil all from Nails Redesigned, and Northern Star base coat, full size glitter topper and snowflake charms and a full size thermal from Heather's Hues as well as a mini of her top coat.  The special guest contributor included a teeny soap.

Now let's get to some swatches!
First up is a the thermal from Heather's Hues called Down The Snow Rabbit Hole.  The thermal is a grey glitter crelly that contains silver micro flakies as well as royal blue, turquoise and silver holographic shards.  The thermal properties create a darker grey when cold.  Photos show 2 coats with Top That Top Coat also from Heather's Hues.

The other polish is a glitter topper from Northern Star Polish called Curiouser and Curiouser.  Curiouser and Curiouser contains lavender stars, purple and magenta diamonds, turquoise squares, mint silver and magenta circles and teeny silver holographic micro glitter.  Photos show 1 coat over Drip Drop Nail Paint's Yoga Pants topped with Heather's Hues Top That Top Coat.  Glitter fishing was needed with this polish for the larger glitters.  It was very difficult to get a clear photo as it was so sparkly.

The box also included some nail art items from Nails Redesigned: heart stencils and purple teacups.  The heart stencils were really easy to work with and I applied just a few minutes after topping Down The Snow Rabbit Hole with Top That from Heather's Hues.  I used Painted Polish California Dreamin' and then resealed with Top That.

The purple teacups were a bit on the large size for my teeny nail beds, so I used them on my largest nails.  I have them over Curiouser and Curiouser from Northern Star Polish over Yoga Pants from Drip Drop Nail Paint topped with Top That from Heather's Hues.  Again since this polish is so sparkly and the decals were sparkly, it was difficult to get clear photos.  (Nail problems...am I right?)

Heather's Hues also included some adorable glitters (snowmen, snowflakes and stars) and Nails Redesigned contributed a cuticle oil from her nail care line Calm Your Tips in the scent of Vanilla Tea Cake.  It smells so good!  The guest contributor is XO Soap Co, which was a very tiny soap in the scent of Mad Hatter's Winter Tea Party.  It smells amazing, but is so small that it feels more decorative than useful.

Loves: I really love the thermal from Heather's Hues, it was sensitive and the formula was amazing.  Her Top That top coat has been used a few times so far and I am impressed with its dry time and smooth application.

Wishes:  I wish I could have gotten un-blurred photos of Curiouser and Curiouser.  I also wish I had larger nail beds so I could adequately show off some of the great decals from Nails Redesigned.  My last wish is that the soap from XO Soap Co was just a little larger.

You can order the Mani Of The Month Box from Heather's Hues, Nails Redesigned and Northern Star Polish!  The contents are always a surprise (however there is now a sneak peak page) and pre-orders quickly sell out.  Be sure to follow them all on Instagram  (@heathers_hues and @nails_redesigned and @northernstarpolish) or their Facebook pages to updates.

Happy Polishing,
Kristi aka @BeginNails
